People have different comfort levels with different things, I guess. I know us in the UK can be a bit prudish about sexual things. But we're not usually fussed about religion or heresy.do you have an explanation then, why some people - not necessarily you - had a problem with Olly? All you said does apply to him also, doesn‘t it?
Belgium isn't realThis is disgusting. This "song" doesn't belong to the ESC, a familial and popular musical show.
She is promoting satanism and she should go to a therapy.
EBU shouldn't allow anything like that to compete.
(btw I thought Ireland's flag was green white and orange).
The staging really is excellent. It's like watching a mini horror musical. Despite Eurovision featuring the LED screens and LED floor, it's rare for an Eurovision entry to actually feel cinematic in the way this performance does.this is easily the most talked about act of yesterdays semifinal, i'm delighted for bambie. it doesn't make the song any more pleasant (which i think will prevent it from winning in the end) but it's amazing how well the performance is received - and rightfully so! best staging of the year.
say what u want about the theme (i get that it's not for everybody) but the delivery, the storytelling, the camera angles are amazing! prime example that it's not just enough to put some props or gimmick on stage and just let them exist there, the way bambie plays with the circle of candles, the costume change that happens so damn quick, the "demonic" choreo and interaction with the dancer, the "crown the witch" ending - everything here is executed perfectly imo
whatever happens i hope ireland remembers what their acts are capable of if u don't put them in the most anticlimatic studio with the worst sound like in the horrible preselection they put them through.
i didnt get the great betting odds before, i thought it could maybe scratch the top 10 but now i think the top 5 odds are totally deserved
Alright Farage cool itBelgium isn't real
It's the sort of entry that will do what it's going to do regardless of its running order as its just so different and memorable. Just a shame we can get a 2nd half draw for a change. We're first half - I hope we get a slot between 11 and 13.
Look I don't really get non binary myself I respect what these individuals claim they are and use their pronouns just because that's the polite thing to doThis is not a provocative question, and not intended to be offensive or anything, but I REALLY dont get this:
How can someone say about themself I‘m a witch (and Bambie says this regarding her own identity, not just the stage persona), a witch, who is clearly and without any doubt a female figure and has always been female to the point that it became an female archetype for a whole feminist movement, and at the same time also say about themself: I‘m non-binary?!
you can‘t be and at the same time not be something. That‘s completely illogical. I would get it if they defined themself as genderfluid but that’s not the case.
I get Nemo‘s non-binary being themself, but with Bambie I‘m honestly lost.
I don't think there's a city other than Dublin that could meet the demands of a modern Eurovision?I am all in favour of Eurovision returning to the Emerald isle but for the love of god please not Dublin. I go away to escape London and our rip off prices thanks

However I think you're just looking into something that's just not there? If a man does goth magic it doesn't become wizardcraft all of a sudden
Bambie is a witch, hell I can be a witch and I'm a dull straight man
We are going back to millstreet lads, osterdahl can stay at homeI don't think there's a city other than Dublin that could meet the demands of a modern Eurovision?
A witch is just someone that practices witchcraft (malicious or hostile magic) yes the stereotype and general perception of witches is overwhelmingly female but it's not exclusively a thing for women nor is it especially feminine in any wayI don‘t think that trying to understand something excludes being respectful.
You would be a wizard or a sorcerer if you practice witchcraft. A witch is genuinly female.
I could also understand if Bambie said: I‘m a sorcerer because I identify as such. Or: I‘m non binary, but my stage persona is a woman.
But what puzzles me is that they - as far as I‘m aware of - identifies as two opposite concepts at the same time and that is just not possible. Thay are not Schrödingers cat.
And that is not trivial because if I call Bambie „they“, then I‘m denying their self proclaimed witchness - thus misgendering them.
If I accept her „witchness“ and call her „she“, I’m misgendering her again, because I would leave out her non-binary being.
You see? Even within the logic of Non-conformative genderroles there still HAS to be logic. Otherwise I cant talk about this person at all, even if I want to.
