Did it come to your mind, that the votes for Israel were not cheating but simply a political statement by people who are not keen on the keffyieh-claden mixture of far-leftists and Islamists taking over the streets and heckling other opinions or simply do not like H@m@ss rapists supporters?
Btw, Ireland gave Israel 10pts in the televote, i had a good laugh about it.

No.

Also Ireland giving 10 was case and point from my original comment.

I only now noticed the ESC performance didn't use the "clock close to 12" image from the NF performance.... i thought that was a really strong image and made the song more universal and relevant, with so many worrying if the world is going to be destroyed any moment by a possible world war. Maybe it was thought of as too political, either by the EBU or their own team.

No votes from Luxembourg, France and Israel. Hmmmm.

Tali is from Israel and Slimane‘s exgirlfriend (and now best?friend) is Jewish and from what I recall (not 100% sure) I think his family (father?) is of Jewish descent (despite being from Algeria).

Slimane did a whole speech about peace interrupting his rehearsal and Jewish =/= zionist, so I don't think Slimane having connections with Jewish people or jewish ancestry somehow makes him hate pro-palestinian people. On the contrary, he has been regularly seen with Nemo who belongs to the "Propalestina Mob" according to you. (edit: to clarify, they've been filmed hugging at a preparty, and when bambie came over after nemo's victory and put their crown on them which is filmed, someone who looks like slimane was also briefly seen there but he wasn't properly filmed)

I think French people just didn't like Bambie's vibe ignoring politics.

Eden said nice things about Nemo too after his victory and congratulated and Slimane‘s peace speech was very neutral for a reason ;) it wasn’t only in Israel‘s direction.

I thought Sweden, the land with plenty of Metal fans and where the openly Satanic (at least in their own words (but they don't "worship" anything, it's atheistic Satanism à la LaVey)) and kinda popular band Ghost hails from, would give BT a higher score. I need to convert more people IRL into Eurovision fans it seems.

Although Bambie Thug's song wasn't for me, Thug's performance was the most interesting one.

I still hate the song and don't find the character very friendly, but indeed the performance was surprisingly good after what we had in NF. The staging has been thought through and it created a great "shocking effect" without looking cringey.
I'm though very surprised that it pleased the juries, as I believe there were a lot more songs to praise, but well....
Good for :ie: anyway ! It's their best result since 2000 !
