Surely there's some regulations put in place on televoting like in the UK?
I tend to have a feeling that it will be really close between all the acts, and I think that it is very likely that neither of the favourites win. Patricia Roe might be a good bet.
Ahhh stop what do you mean like in the UK? Do you mean the X Factor? That show's about as rigged up as the lights in the Malmo Arena! Honestly RTÉ will get the result they want, there was an episode of Father Ted about it sure! It doesn't really make much difference anyway, countries that select internally basically manipulate the vote by not having one, this is just a little bit fairer than an internal selection.
All of our wins have been with Irish songwriters. Jedward 2011 was the only recent time a Swedish written song has done remotely well. And we're better than Swedish songwriters, anyway
Now I'm not supporting the Swedish Eurovision Imperialism thing going on, but it's hard to make a comparison because pretty much all Irish entries in recent time were Swedish penned
And paradoxically the one entry with some Irish traces in it this year is Swedish penned
Not the most convincing odds....I fear Quigg will sneak it
