This is the Jedward scenario all over again, so don't get your hopes up folks... "The Movie Song" will win...

I liked Be Mine, hope they pick it. I'm frightened of Heartbeat though. It has all the potential to become an impossible fanwank :?

Same, they would be my two for eurovision.

I think my personal favourite is Andrew Mann

He's nice, but the song is not memorable enough, unfortunately, i wouldn't download it.

Heartbeat...jesus. Just cancel the NF now and just send this to Copenhagen. Yes, I know Eoghan is going to win, but now I've heard this song I actually care. It's fantastic. Laura O' Neill and Andrew Mann are both good as well, but Heartbeat is incredible.

Seriously?? Even with this piece of....a song?
I'm praying for voters common sense(
If they choose this Ireland will probably stay in a semi.

Can-linn all the way! :D

I dont think Eoghan's guaranteed, sure he's known but he's not famous enough to guarantee victory ;)

While I do think he's the one to beat, he hardly has the same kind of fan base Jedward has. Plus the judges nearly screwed Jedward over in one year....there was only a couple points between them and the 2nd placed song.

Yeah he has no where near the same sort of following Jedward had/has and he doesnt have the novelty card either. He's just a former talent show contestant really, Im sure most Irish people will have forgotten about him until now. That wasnt the case for Jedward - everyone knew Jedward.

Yes, but I'm worried about the teen fanbase. Won't take much PR to get them onside, and all it would take is a tweet to vote for him from other X-Factor contestants like Jedward or One Direction to give him the victory.

Ireland has been such a mess in the past few years. :'D This year is no exception.

Personal ranking:

01. Can linn - Heartbeat
02. Andrew Mann - Be Mine
03. Eoghan Quigg - The Movie Song
04. Laura O'Neill - You Don't Remember Me
05. Patricia Roe - Don't Hold On

Pretty much every song sucks, but that's probably because the audio quality is ****. + Eoghan Quigg being in it is just lol.

I really like Can Linn and Andrew Mann. I'd support any of them.

Laura O'Neill is ok too.

I don't get the fuss over that Eoghan (btw it looks someone copy-pasted a kid pic in a boxing body ), his song is so meh. And that Patricia with her dated ballad is the worst of all.

1. Can-Linn - Heartbeat
2. Laura O'Neill - You Don't Remember Me
3. Andrew Mann - Be Mine
4. Eoghan Quigg - Movie Song
5. Patricia Roe - Don't Hold On

I can easily see Heartbeat and The Movie Song taking top two in the public vote. So it'll depend a lot on what the judges think....

I'm glad to see Andrew Mann again. Actually, I like 'Movie Song'... It's my second option :)

Rooting for Can-Linn, but like I said I think the X-factor baby-face will win by default :/

And why can't we ever hear Irish/Gaelic for a change? xshrug

I really enjoy Patricia's ballad, it's dated, but in such a pleasent way, it reminds me of old UK ballads..if she can perform, and I assume she can..it will be really nice for me.. :)

@ A-lister

I understand you completely for other countries using English, but for Ireland I really think you want too much, cause in Ireland everybody speak English now..

I know this, but it would still be nice to get an entry in their other official (and traditional) language for a change xshrug

One of the best Irish entries to date has been their only Irish-language one so far...
