wow, Von is such a lovely retro song...
I like this, but I think it's too outdated for the ESC. It wouldnt be successful I guess

edit: does anybody know the name of the left presenter?

Matt, the Icelanders seem to usually agree with your music taste...It's annoying.

You have probably seen the results, and if you're not happy because a certain song didn't qualify, don't worry, there will be 2 wildcard qualifiers revealed next saturday after the 2nd semi final results.

If you have a wildcard to qualify then I doubt Amor can win anyway.

Oh yay, there are two great songs stuck in the first semi, hoping for one to make it.

A wildcard won the Swedish NF last year, and in the 2008 NF in Iceland, the wildcard was in 3rd place overall and became most popular after the contest. So Amor could win, and Sverrir, but I hope Vignir won't be a wildcard. The bad thing about Iceland is that so many people don't vote for the song, but vote for the person who sings it.

Was the SF tonight 50/50 televote & jury or pure televote?

Does people vote for the person because the changes that they actuarially know that person is very high ?

oh yeah, in Germany we have the same problem ;)

However I have no doubt that Iceland will send a great or at least decent song to the ESC. In terms of music Iceland never disappoints me. This semi-final had a very high level, I hope in the second SF we will see other great songs

I really fell in love with Von :D

I believe it was pure televote, then in the final, it will be 50/50, the top 2 songs in the final will square off in a duel where the televote has all the power.

No, it's more like for example: Many people voted for "Eftir eitt lag" because that her father is famous and she plays for the icelandic women's soccer team.

That's why Vignir was 50/50, because he has a lot of connection that he has a good chance of qualifying.

The woman who sings Eftir eitt lag is national player of Iceland women team? wow :D
It seems to me that many Icelanders are multi-talents
I guess if a German football player was singing, glasses would break to pieces an we would have to wear earmuffs to protect our eardrums
