I think all the eliminated songs still have a small chance to make the final as a wildcard that will be revealed next week or something so "Amor" isn't completely dead yet xshrug

For now, it could still win one of the two wildcard spots. (let's hope not)

I'm confused cause it only shows 5 spots in the final on Wikipedia. So if the top 2 televoters from each semi advance that leaves only 1 spot for a while card not 2, is Wikipedia wrong xthink

Oh okay on Wikipedia it says

The final will take place on 15 February 2014 where the top three entries from each of the previous two semi-finals, all together six entries, will compete. In the first round of voting, votes from a jury panel (50%) and public televoting (50%) will determine the top two entries. In the second round of voting, televoting will solely select the winner.

So yeah each semi gets 2 direct from televote and 1 wildcard but it only showed 5 boxes below not 6. Although Wikipedia just says top 3 and nothing about a wildcard, so confusing but I trust the member here so xdoh

It's wikipedia, I wouldn't worry about that too much.

No you scoundrel, let's hope so. Amor can save Iceland from selecting a garbage song!

I loved both "Von" and "Eftir eitt lag" and was happy they got through. ;) "Elsku þú" was much better life than on audio, on audio it was dull to me. I guess the reason being that they, as a group are very professional. Also "Dönsum burtu blús", but it was a bit forced in the high notes though.

I really liked "Amor" to begin with but not as much now, the repetitive chorus is starting to get annoying.:(

I definitely don't think that "Von" is outdated, it's very similar to Josh Groban's songs, and probably not everyone's cup of tea here on this thread. He sang it immaculately live, gave me goosebumps. xheart

I was also very surprised that "Von" was my 8 year old niece favorite and she voted for it, not for "Eftir eitt lag", which I thought would be more to her taste, a cute song and I really think it's good too. I would definitely not be dissapointed if it won the contest, but still Von is my favorite from Semi 1.:)

Of course there are 5 more songs to listen to in Semi 2 and maybe the one and only song is among them for me.:D

I'm very sad for "Amor"(
But we haven't heard all the songs, so let's hope the best is yet to come and "Amor" will get a wild card eventually.

The two songs I liked the least in this group of five were selected and the others flopped. This couldn't get any worse. Grete's song is alright though, a bit in the line of our own Flor de Lis from 2009, not something to get excited about. Von is an imensely annoying bore.

I added a sixth spot on wikipedia, there are supposed to be 6 songs competing in the final.

Out of this dropkick of a semi final, if I was forced to pick 2 to go to the final it would have been:
Sverrir Bergmann 'Dönsum burtu blús'
Greta Mjöll Samúelsdóttir 'Eftir eitt lag'

I'm so happy with Iceland. It passed my favourites: 'Eftir eitt lag', a simple and unpretentious song, with good vibes. And 'Von', an epic operatic ballad, with a great voice... I hope Iceland keeps the language. Icelandic sounds beautiful...

Oh please.
Greta Mjöll has all the right to win SVKPN and pass the SF in Eurovision because people voted for the Maltese dull copy of "Hey Soul Sister" in 2013.
