the son nott = night are wonderfl with subtitle in englis are best, for a english is easy understand icelandic Language?

Icelandic is a Scandinavian language (North Germanic) and not an Anglic (West Germanic) language. I can understand bits of it (especially in written form), but it's hard. It's like an very old type of Norwegian or something that developed into something different over time.

Can't stop listening to "Eftir eitt lag"... xheart

I only just started listening to the songs and went straight to that one. It's adorable, so sweet and charming!

Off topic but your avatar is the alternative version of Nico's "Drama of Exile" album!? Nico is quite possibly my favourite artist of all time. I'm surprised to see a potential fellow fan of hers here.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of Nico... But I'm a HUGE fan of Gustav Klimt ! My avatar is "Pallas Athene", his 1898 painting, used as symbol by The Vienna Secession and as poster for their second exhibition.

Oh, I wondered if that could have been the case as I wasn't aware of the origins of the painting. It was very interesting to see the piece of art here though as your avatar. Nico used the painting for the second release of her "Drama of Exile" album in 1983. Thank you for the information about the artist and painting.

As soon as I can stop listening to "Eiftir eitt lag", I'll go listening to "Drama of Exile" !

I am listening to "Eiftir eitt lag" as well. It's definitely my favourite of all the Icelandic songs revealed so far. It's so light and summery.

I don't know if "Drama of Exile" is the best introduction to Nico's music. Her first album "Chelsea Girl" (which Nico herself hated) is probably the easiest of her albums to listen to. It's pretty folk mixed with her inhumanly deep voice and German accent. "Desertshore" is my favourite record but in parts it's incredibly bleak and severe. Her music is very much an acquired taste. A lot of her songs are droning harmonium pieces.

This song is a nice introduction to her music and probably her most beautiful composition..

Sorry to everyone for being horrendously off topic there. Back on topic, does anyone know when the other songs are going to be released?

Yes, it's very understated. It will be interesting to see how it's performed on stage. I'm not really that keen on her voice but I don't think it will matter too much and I could grow to like it.

It's not terrible, but it's quite meh and I don't think something like this would succeed in ESC. I hope neither in Icelandic NF!

Eiftir eitt lag
This is much better. Probably not a winner, but a worthy finalist. Love the rhythm change, gives me good vibes.

Von
This is a perfect ballad for Copenhagen..... 1964! And even back then wouldn't do so well.

Amor
Sounds interesting, but I wonder how she can manage it live. I mean, too much time with only whistles and few back music. It could look boring and empty on the stage.

Elsku pú
Reminds me to the first song. Meh and dated.

So Greta is the best in this semi.
