Podcaster, influencer and reality TV personality Robin Solf did apply for Eurovision. Despite having 0 singing qualities I could see NDR picking him randomly for the NF. At least he has the personality to be an interesting contestant.

It feels rather random and that the most hyped / well known nominee wins and in this case, everyone was up for random stuff they did this year and have been showered with prizes like that since forever. The awards show itself was also pretty dull and felt like a s!sister-show (no pun intended) to what ARD and NDR fabricate every year.

No one should take this award seriously, it´s basically just a big group ****ing of the big TV channels, everyone is getting a price at some point and this time they thought Barbara deserved one. xfacepalm

Lame strophes, banger chorus though! That's actually what I wished of LOTL this year, leaning more into synth goth instead of glam rock like B&G. But oh well, that train has left the station.

Out of all the applications for next year I don't see anything worthwhile yet anyway... gonna bury myself back in my hole for now.
