If the channel pushed them to victory, how could an internal selection (by the same people) be better?

I finally got a chance to watch Aly Ryan's performance, because I tuned in too late. And I am actually quite shocked and disappointed. "Wear your love" sounded great before, but her live act was totally weak and I felt offended by the gaysploiting performance. So tacky and cheap. I now have to downgrade her from 9 to 6.
Sister and Surprise were the only justifiable choices in the end.

I mean...just wow, it's almost like Germany actively wants to get last place this year. I see absolutely no appeal to Sisters, but what's worse is that there were two entries that would have been fantastisch (Aly, and especially lilly among clouds.) The international juries really sabotaged Germany though, without them, Aly would've won

I like that song very much. But I guess I‘m older and old fashioned.
I listened to the pre recorded version and I must say this evenings performance was better. The blond singer wasn‘t as strong as the dark haired one. But that gave the song extra emotions and vibes. This clearly improved the song. The recording leveled both singers more to one level.

It's so easy to discern mature from immature comments for this song.
Felt so about Aly as well. Loved her song, but in her Performance, the power was missing. I was disappointed. But Sisters are getting me more and more. Absolutely satisfied (or morethan that) with the result!
........it's probably my favorite german entry since black smoke (and yes i HATED ylmwa it's in my bottom 3 of 2018 and has no plans of leaving)

Don't get me wrong, melodically is "Sister" not bad. But completly pointless. I don't care about these sisters. I don't care how much they fighted they were little and how good it is that they have their own backs now. It is sweet, happy for them, but I don't care. And not that many in Europe will either. Oh well, Germany had a good year in Lisbon.
