I've been active in the ESC fan club on facebook these last few days and apart from horrible attitudes of people in there I'm struck by how many have this song in their last place. I feel so sorry for Oto's brother (and other family members) who is active there for how much rudeness he has to put up with. People are literally saying the song is shit right to his face. I feel like the hate towards Georgia in the fandom has turned into some kind of opposite fanwank. I feel like people must be so swept away by the dislike this song gets that they can't possibly make up their own opinion about this song so they just join the hate bandwagon instead. I just can't accept that this is a bad song. Maybe I'm delusional, because I'm seriously starting to question myself but I have a feeling that I'm not.

Don't question yourself. This is such a powerful ballad that I haven't heard in ages. This song is my current No. 1. Actually I do understand that taste differs, but the hate he gets is just terrible. I hope he won't be discouraged. Such a beautiful song, brings me to tears.

It's my #1 too. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea but it certainly doesn't deserve all the hate. It's quite disgusting to me. And btw., in the past I have seen a few Videos of her commenting different ESC-entrys and as a person, I didn't like her because of how disrespectful she traets certain artists. That's why I never clicked on one of her vids again.

I'm quite new to the Eurovision fandom so I wouldn't know but can you recall if there has been other songs in previous years that has recieved the same sort of backlash without actually being bad?

There are always "haters" here and there unfortunately. Sometimes though people over-exxaggerate as well. For example people also talk of Sweden-hate since Sweden is the country winning the most within the past years. Since I often don't follow comments under YouTube Videos, I can't say. I follow ESC for About 10 years closely, but I am just here to Exchange opinions About Music. Either I like a song or not. But sometimes people are political and have hate against a country. I might be idealistic, but ESC should not be about hate, but about people getting together and understanding countries better.

I liked her channel because I thought she would make good and insightful comments about the songs, but after this video I actually felt the need to unsubscribe to her.

Never been a fan of her to be honest.

EDIT: To me, she pretty much represents the type of people who only got hooked into the contest recently and for all the different reasons from what the contest used to be and used to stand for.

I´m not even sure how much she even is conscious of how the eurovision song contest was in a past.

Yes. The song has to be submitted to the EBU but that doesn't necessarily mean, it has to be widely available online. But you should expect this to be released soon.

Hahahaha as expected...I posted my to 10 for the first semi on the video recap of that semi, with Georgia being number 1, and I got 7 likes , while other ppl have 200-400 likes..
