FSC#84 - February 2016
Duvchi feat. Loreen
Fire Blue
For this February edition we are revisiting where it all started for me in FSC by making singer-songwriter and producer Jens
"Duvchi" Duvsjö make a comeback in the contest. Nearly three years ago, back in April 2013, I entered my first entry ever in the FSC with Duvchi's
Whole Life Tour which earned a respectable top. 10 position in that edition.
Whole Life Tour was Duvchi's second single following his 2011 debut single
Turtleduvs, and since 2013 has he been busy feauturing on and producing music for other acts. The entry for this month's edition;
Fire Blue, which features vocals from Eurovision Song Contest winner Loreen, is picked from Duvchi's debut album;
With the World, released in the autumn of 2015. It's a melodic Dream-Pop ballad with beautiful vocals by Loreen and moody production and vocals by Duvchi.
Loreen Lorine Talhaoui is mostly known as the winner of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with
Euphoria, but was actually first known to the Swedish public by her participation in the first edition of Swedish Idol back in 2004 where she ended fourth. Loreen's featured on the Rob N' Raz single
The Snake, released in 2005, but it wasn't until her participation in Melodifestivalen 2011 with the entry
My Heart is Refusing Me that she got her commercial breakthrough in Sweden. Loreen is currently working on her follow-up album to the 2012 release
Heal.
