Oh, I'd love it! Obviously it won't happen, but one can still be allowed to dream until the French broadcaster drops another stink bomb on us ... (ok I will be fair, Mercy was amazing and the 2016-2017 entries were pretty solid too).

Anyways what happened with Indila? She came back with a bang and ultimate bop in late August 2019, which is over a year ago now, with Parle à ta tête after being silent for nearly half a decade, only to disappear again? Did they pause the whole campaign due to Covid?, but then again what happened between August '19 - March '20 (<- which is when Covid really started to be a serious thing in Europe)?

If the French broadcaster would go for an internal pick, I would look at Mylène Farmer's & Laurent Boutonnat's new protege Julia, but I doubt that would happen too, but maybe convince them to at least produce an entry for ESC and pick a fitting act to go with it? I know Alizée had some falling out with them, but I could see her potentially agreeing to ESC since her career has been pretty much stagnated for the past 15 years or so (other than some random popularity in Mexico) and maybe they could all agree to work together again, if only for a one-off thing for ESC?

I know nothing of the above will ever happen haha , but yeah let a gay boy dream

France will start revealing their artists from 28th December onwards. The artist who are confirmed are: LMX, Ali, Casanova, Phillipine and Brabara Pravi.

Promising start since I heard for 3 of those artist, and I'm not even French (Phillipine, Casanova and Barbara Pravi), the further 7 artists are yet to be revealed!

This according to a french journalist and I saw it on twitter so I don't know how reliable it is, but it's probably true.

LMX and Ali are no-name apparently. Barbara Pravi composed JESC 2019, JESC 2020 and Angelina’s “Maman me dit” Tiktok hit, as well as “L’un près de l’autre” for Noée (DE2018), definitely a fan of french music and french sounds ! Very hyped.
Casanova will release a new song "Tutti" in corsican friday, he's excited to get feedbacks and will make one more announcement at this date, maybe an official statement friday.

I don't think we'll get one of those two, Maelle is already quite popular, Videoclub are growing too, I think. LMX and Ali are no-name apparently.

Sadly, I don't think. She seems to be into ballads rather than "bops". She released a song a month ago (less than 3 minutes), maybe that'll be her song.

Okay, that would mean I can scrap my expectation of getting a bop from Pravi.

But I can still expect a good ballad from her. 'Voila' is a good song with a 'French' flavor ( I feel you could understand about real French music flavor more than I do, so I'll quote that out) and I'll be happy if that's her entry. Igit also participated with a ballad before, so ever they wrote a song for Pravi this time, it'll probably work just as miraculous as when they're writing bops together. Wishing good luck to Pravi, I'm excited for her participation!
