Last question, what type of song or genre do you expect from France ?

For me personally something similar like 2010....Its been while we had a proper bop from France....
Also I can be behind good powerballad.....

Oh, another ballad after "Roi" and "TBIM", I would be disappointed personally. I hope we'll get a bop or at least something different or more risky. I hope they'll make something about the televote after Bilal's robbed winning last year. Just give 120pts to the televote winner, 100pts to the second, etc, so that the juries will have more power because France TV's audience is more likely to vote for a ballad than for a bop or a pop song.

Agreed. Unless they fixe the problem of the télévote and give 120pts to the winner, 100pts to the second, etc, if there's someone famous, I don't think we'll get an uptempo song to represent us soon (unless it's sung by Kendji, lmao)

Who ?

I didn't know him but let's be honest, it's the last thing I want for France in ESC. I've been waiting for years for a modern upbeat entry that will make everybody want to dance while still keeping a sense of identity and originality. French variety is the farthest from that. The song he entered seems to lean more on pop than his previous tracks but if the lyrics and general atmosphere are on the same line I sure as hell won't get behind it.
But like the past years, we'll get a bunch of former talent shows contestants that didn't get to develop their own musical identity for the most part.

When Tom Leeb's song got announced, I had to mentally apologise to Bilal. Choose Tom's namesake and I will quite probably repeat the pattern. Compared to all songs from Tom Mathis I gave a go to, TBIM sounds like if it was written by Mozart

I only really love Hit Sale but it's a style I definitely would like to see from France in ESC. The chances of them sending an entry to FranceTV are really low though.
I'm not a fan of Clara Luciano however, all her songs sound more or less the same and it's a type that grats on my nerve a little too much.
