It's honestly the only choice France could make right now if they genuinely want to do well. liked and retweeted, i'm in full stan mode for the daytime TV hit.

I can also propose myself as their financial advisor.
From 50$ they've paid to Gson, we will give 15$ to Catia for an amazing blop song, also dancers will receive 5$ each.

For the rest 20$ we can afford a KFC basket for the whole delegation xcheer

OMG his humour and attitude remind me of someone I knew. He's doing a bit too much for me, but I'm sure his personality will lead to good interviews for the people who will closely follow his journey.

those who rated it with zeros are so overdramatic tho .Give it at least 4 or 5.Its not as horrible as you are trying to present it.

5 points for what? - I know he's good-looking but that's not enough to justify 5 points.

I gave "Sister" 1 pt, this one is even worse... Thus, ZERO pts are justified and that's exactly what Tom will be getting in the televoting.

I just hope that if we get a bottom 5 or even last place result, it will help the actual HoD to take the decision to give his HoD job to an other person, but competent like Edoardo Grassi and Steven Clerima in 2016 2017 2018 and 2019. If there are no changes after this potential bottom 5, I can already tell you that we will be back in our early 2010's years with no competitive entries. Actually the HoD only choose song without take in consideration the opinion of french eurofans and juries who know much more what is bad what is not bad
French fans or any other esc fans choices are not good and promising at all... ;)

its not so bad, according to me zero points should be for songs that are pure unpleasant noise or smth vulgar. But at least for the participation and such stuff people should go with 2 points.Zero is wayyyy to much negativity

I gave it a 2 and have no intention on rating it higher, there's nothing I like in this song, a 4 or 5 would be for something that is somewhat enjoyable on one level at least. The worst I can give though is 1, for the effort.

On another note, I saw some people on French twitter not understanding all the hate and describing the song as a "perfect fit for Eurovision" and "in tune with the contest"... it just shows how much the public's image of ESC is outdated.

Tom is so charismatic and I like his attitude, which makes it even sadder for me. I really wanted to root for him this year. Oh well... This like :is: 2018 when I liked Ari Ólafsson but absolutely hated his song.

I gave it :2: and it won't probably climb higher. I gave 2 points to better songs in past years.

th
Please, make some official rules on how to rate songs at these forum polls xqueenbitch
Should've probably given it 3 intead of 0 because I've been to Paris and like this city. And 0,5 points for my nice food at local restaurant
the only official rule I have is for the woman on your profile pic to stay away from the contest please

I am sorry. I wasn't aware we are in kindergarten and we aren't allowed to criticise.

I give this song a :0: because I think it deserves that. I am sorry I am not throwing :12:s at every song I hear. I think a :12: should be something special.

I suppose that France wasn't shoved Swedish plastic wrappings from IKEA down their throats, however, Sweden "earned" a lot of credit by topping jury votes that other countries may fall for the Swedish formula, altough they shouldn't. And since Eurovision family is basically 50% Swedish dudes. So the HoD of France was maybe tapped by a Swedish bro and was offered friendly "help" and he was like "Ouiiiiiiiiiiiiii".....

Anyhow, if a country needs help, ask Italy for the cheese, not Sweden. Italy is trumping the televoting every year, which is the more important vote from a commercial perspective.

I don't buy this conspiracy that just because Swedes are involved in ESC, it automatically makes a Swedish-penned entry loved by the juries... in fact we had Swedish written entries in the past that flopped...

I think the problem lays more in the general taste of the juries that just like middle of the road, dated, indifferent Pop or ballads in English...

I think that giving :0: points for a song is totally fine if you clearly hate it.
I could have given it 1 for his voice (which I did at the beginning) but listening to it for a second time made me realize that I don't wanna listen to that song ever again.

I gave 1 pt to Latvia and 2 pts to Armenia - At least I like a few elements there but France is just the epitome of everything I dislike in Eurovision (=denying your own identity, ridiculous arrangement, all the changes within the arrangement, the cheese etc.) I even enjoyed all songs from San Marino more than this.

In France a lot of people prefer the acoustic version. It would be great for France to change this song into a fully acoustic version, just like Belgium 2010 with Tom Dice and his song. It would reduce the "dated" side of the song and give more authenticity to the song.
I also prefer acoustic version

Just. Do. It.

99% of the time I prefer accoustic versions of songs. And this song is definitely no exception.

I've just listened to the acoustic version and the song is indeed MIIIIIIIILES better. I like the intimate atmosphere and the wonderful tone of his voice can truly shine on the song. It almost sounds like a completely different song. The melody in the verses is still bothering me, though, it sounds like a nursery rhyme + he should ditch the repetitive "you are, you are, you are" and preferably stick to one language only and I think that the song can even be charming and more authentic.

The dated arrangement and the horrible language mix destroy everything for me.
