And I thought Spain’s song was kinda cliche and corny but this is next level. Spain suddenly seems super modern and 100 leagues above France. It pains me to say this cause I usually always support France, I even adored Moustache and N’oubliez pas but this is so bad, I can’t xstars

I had a very romantic dream but I cannot blatantly tell you all about. Use your imagination.

Tom Leeb was playing with his hot friends and after he opened up, he got high on adrenaline and tears of joy filled his eyes and so he started singing while they were playing together. "You are the best in me, and YOU ARE, and YOU ARE, and YOU ARE"

On an astrological side note: Jupiter in Capricorn is not very original and progressive in taste in music and styles. The Eurovision songs so far a testament to that. However, the choice of older people this year could win, because Capricorn is the sign of maturity and old age and Jupiter stands for beneficial things. Tom Leeb's song sounds perfect for the elderly.

The elderly liking such dated songs will be sleeping around 9 pm. There's no way they will be picking up their phones after 11pm to vote for the French entry.
I'm not that much elderly although I feel like one. I wouldn't vote for anyone. I won't make same mistake like last year. And yes, I hope voting results won't be revealed in 4 after midnight like in Israel. Jesus Christ what Was that. xstarsIOTAPxexcusemexpukexwall

I just hope that if we get a bottom 5 or even last place result, it will help the actual HoD to take the decision to give his HoD job to an other person, but competent like Edoardo Grassi and Steven Clerima in 2016 2017 2018 and 2019. If there are no changes after this potential bottom 5, I can already tell you that we will be back in our early 2010's years with no competitive entries. Actually the HoD only choose song without take in consideration the opinion of french eurofans and juries who know much more what is bad what is not bad

This song is insufferable, just like Michael Rice's song. And surprise, what is the common link - John Lundvik. God, how much did the Swedish delegation pays the French delegation to accept this generic tripe? Even if they pluck the whole Eiffel tower into the studio, this song has no chance escaping the bottom 5 fate.

I am being so critical because I have been enjoying the French entries ever since 2014 (yes, Twin Twin's and Lisa's entries pawn this all over) and Tom seems like a competent vocalist, so I am not sure why the French delegation decide to let him sing this song? I wanted to give it a "zero", but I am giving it a "one" because of Tom who is gorgeous. France is lucky that they are one of the big-5, if this is sent by any of the semi-finalists, it will never make it to the finals.

Is there time for them to scrap this song and change to another song?

No way, Alexandra looks way too proud to say "ok, let's find another song" or even "ok, we messed up, let's revamp the song".

Just like Nathalie André in 2015, she looks too proud to admit they were wrong.

I don't even think she'll talk about the critcisms in interview, if she does, she will probably stay in the denial and say "you know, you can't satisfy everyone, we stay focus on Rotterdam".

Well the song has now been showed at the french TV . The only thing we can get is a massive revamp to give power to this song

I disagree. Michael Rice was at least charming on stage. The same can't be said for Tom Leeb, whose charm seemed to have gone away together with his authenticity.

I really hope that they will choose another song - any song is better than this. It doesn't even fit Tom Leeb. Even a revamp would not do I'm afraid.

Btw, does anyone manage to understand what Tom says during the whole song? I've been trying to hear and understand what he sings, but...

Agree to disagree. To me, Micheal wasn't charming at all. In fact, he came across pretty amateurish. I am sure Tom Leeb should do fine stage wise, but the song itself is dire. No matter how much revamp they put into this song, it's not going to save it. I still can't believe we are still getting such songs in ESC. Hello, it's 2020 already. Can someone please put a ban on allowing countries accepting John Lundvik's "creations".

Edit: Now I realized Amir is part of the writing team for this song. What went WRONG???

I am not French, but I get what you are trying to say. When I first heard the song (ie. the verse), I was having a hard time deciphering what language is he singing in. It doesn't sound like English nor French and I was beginning to think if my ears were playing tricks on me.

I don't, like I said I didn't even recognize it was French at first. And as he doesn't have an accent when speaking, it could only be explained by the fact he isn't used to sing in French. The song is hopeless as of now, but at least he should try to improve his diction.
