Omg I love Superbus !!! And I like those songs toooo .

Superbus or some of those artists would be really good imo. Hop hop to Eurovision !

This may sound cheesy and I've posted it here before, not sure in this thread, but I looooove this song, so many childhood memories :p. His new work is a bit hmmm, but this one would be a lovely ESC entry :D. Cheesy, superficial,... but lovely for the ears :D!

Hm...
As I understand David Guetta comes from 90s French techno/dance, doesn't he? He must have some friends around in Paris and surely some new names must have emerged since then. Perhaps the genre isn't considered ESC? Singer-songwriter isn't everything. :D

You mean, French names in dance outside David Guetta ?
There are so many, Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, Laurent Wolf, Antoine Clamaran,...
And of course then all the French Touch, Daft Punk, Justice, Mirwais, Mr Oizo, Air, Modjo, C2C, Cassius, Demon... And Sébastien Tellier ! :D

Oh yeah toinou03! I forgot Superbus, they must participate someday! They're all about catchiness.

Yeah ! I really loved them. I'm not keen on later albums (or maybe I just grown up too fast !)
I think Radio Song would have been a typical great entry...
It was out in 2004, the year we sent already has been Jonatan Cerrada with his piece of cheese and his stupid dancer... xfacepalm

I'd also cheer La Grande Sophie, she'd bring some quality entry.

haha I love her !!! When I feel bad, I put her songs, especially "Du courage", it brings me strength !!! :D And with all my university work this summer, I listened to it repeatedly !

C2C - Down The Road

Brilliant!!!

This song has been a big hit last year and C2C won the awards of Best newcomer, Best stage newcomer, best electro album and best video in the "Victoires de la musique", being the most nominated (with 4 nominations), hence the most awarded... :) So it became the "sensation" of the year, as we say in French ! :D
In the best newcomer category, they beat well known here Tal, "indie chanson" singer (and really quality artist) pretty unknown Barbara Carlotti, and indie rock singer (and really great as well) Rover. :)

BTW, I posted somewhere else and nobody noticed, but I listened to it yesterday and it xcry1

This :us: singer Teri Moïse had this huge hit in 1996, being now a classic of French music.
She settled in Paris and won a Victoire de la musique in 1997.
She then withdrew of music, her second album in 1998 having failed.
She commited suicide in May in Madrid, causing a huge emotion in France. I was so sad of these bad news. We really wondered what she had become recently, and that was very sad. Plus her death was revealed very lately (as no one in Spain and USA knows who she is...
But well, big respect for Teri Moïse ! :)

It reminds me of me sitting in front of the tv, waiting for him to come. If his clip started: "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM you're boy is on television".
I love "Emmène-moi" xheart. I even listened to the song today xbeee.

"Je dérive"? I've seen that one... No comment...

Oh my! I laughed so hard to that song back then. xrofl3 We would be trolling the contest big time with an entry like this  France, twelve points. Bitches!

I remember this group performed during some "NRJ Tour" and it was sooo bad! First, I thought it wasn't the same girl since she wasn't as pretty as in the videoclip actually  In addition to that, her vocals were like a mix between a truck driver and a duck. Awful really!

But that song was quite fun I must say. At least it was funny, unlike all the rubbish we currently have on TV and on the radio.

It means the same in Swedish: Båten Anna :)
It really is about an IRC bot though, Basshunter being a gamer. It is said that he's got an intellectual disability, which could be joked about but isn't really funny. He's still going strong with the kitchy stuff. I love Boten Anna though.

Please France, don't send something usual. Do something different like Ortal and Amandine did xpray You are my the biggest hope.

Italy for jazz songs, France for unusual songs

It was a great party song ! That was the time when I hit the dance floor every Saturday night ! xrofl3

As for the girl, I remember her name wasn't revealed when the song was released because she's just a normal girl who gave a service to friends, and she didn't want "Discobitch" to ruin her university work. I think it was said she was a school of finance or something like that ! Hence the wig and so on. Plus, who in a country like ours would assume to say publicly I'm a bitch all day-long ! So it's not curious to imagine that they had severeal bitches out there, shaking their ass like they just don't care ! xrofl3

I love also the "C'est pour tous les quotas français que j'parle plus anglais", just what we were talking about ! xrofl3

It does ring a bell that she is the daughter of a French comedian, but I think her name didn't come up in my mind . I like Superbus though. They have a catchy sound :D!!

I know Lola ! He was so great  But it was "Emmène-moi" in Spanish and English, not French and English. It was called "No olvidaras", but I can't find it on YouTube :(. I don't remember it, in my mind is was French and English too . He wasn't my childhood crush ... okay a little , but it was my mom who was obsessed.

What about Leslie? I know that she hasn't enjoyed success for a long long time now, plus I'm not really fond of her songs but this recent one seemed nice to my ears :

I'd dig an entry in the like. She's no big show and no breathtaking singer but the package is still worth it for Eurovision imo.

'f course I have great taste ! At least, we have a similar taste ! ;) hahaha

No olvidaras ? Oh, I don't think we had this version in :fr: ! Or at least he olvidado ! xrofl2

Leslie was so nice when she sang "Et j'attends", still a song which reminds me lots of time of my 1st years of studies...
But now, she seems outdated for me... And she made so wrong choices. She just has to get something like this in modern. But Shy'm-like stuff doesn't fit her...
French RnB singers have disappeared with disappearing of RnB...
