The rules are a bit complicated regarding uppercase titles (at least for novels, not sure they apply for movies/albums). I think the correct spelling would be "Les Voyages de l'âme". The logic being that "the most important word, usually the first noun, must be capitalised". It's really weird and doesn't work everywhere, but it does prevent a title from only having the article (here, "Les") capitalised.

It's certainly NOT as in English where everything is usually capitalised.

Oh thanks, I thought it should be all lowercase unless there's a name, which should be with leading uppercase (which is the rule in Swedish). But I assume it's not wrong to use lowercase.

So here's my conclusion on the song list then:
1. "Autre temps"
2. "Là où Naissent les couleurs nouvelles"
3. "Les Voyages de l'âme"
4. "Nous sommes l'Émeraude"
6. "Faiseurs de Mondes"

France dont have send yet singer from Thaiti, New Caledonia or Reunion.

Actually we have sent Jean Gabilou from Tahiti  and the only person from La Réunion to have gone to Eurovision is Béatrice Poulot who sang with Dino Merlin in 1999 for :ba:...
It would be nice to have someone from there, but there are not many big names from there...

From Polynesia, I can tell you about former Miss France Mareva Galanter who released 3 albums ! Looking on the internet, the most famous singer living in Tahiti seems to be this John Menezes who tried to enter The Voice US but he failed to make it to the auditions at the last stage... LIVE @ TAUI FM John MENEZES 14 JUIN 2013 - YouTube

From New Caledonia, you have a list there. None of them is known in France... It seems very amateurish ! Apparently, the music there is called kaneka and it's a sort of raeggae ! TOP20 CALEDONIE | Tops Eternels

From La Réunion, the most famous is Gérald de Palmas, but he doesn't make exotic music... Local artists are unknown...

Antilla has a huge tradition of charting but not the islands from the other oceans !

the promoted artist by France Télévisions by now is Brince Conrad...

It doesn't mean we will see him in Eurovision of course, but he's an option I think...

Can anyone from France confirm, deny or give more details on this? Doesn't say if it will be 3 different artists or the same one singing all but the program is hosted by Natasha Saint-Pierre!

Faites partie du comité d'écoute ! - Actualités - Eurovision - France 3
WoW ! A national final xparty

basically, it says that a happy fan will be chosen to be in the comity which chooses the Eurovision song, in the same way as last year.

But last year, they chose only 1 song, and it led to criticism as it was said that there were better contenders than Amandine.

So they will choose 3 songs and we will have our say in "Les Chansons d'abord".

"Les Chansons d'abord" is the new musical program of France 3 which replaces Chabada. So it's broadcasted on the Sunday afternoon ! And it's indeed hosted by Natasha St-Pier. It's an über-boring program...

The 3 songs will be chosen on the 26th of November, so it's very soon !

Wow. France hasn't had a national final since 2006? i think? So i hope this is some great news for all you french fans. Now i just hope that this will persuade the BBC.

EDIT: From what ive read it seems like a very basic version of what Ireland do.

Somehow, but instead of being late late, it will be early early ! xrofl3
Shame to have a National Final at 5 p.m. on a Sunday xrofl3

Yeh a national final is usually more of an evening viewing thing, and 5pm seems a little early. Considering most people are just finishing work, so they will miss it.

This news has actually made me jealous (lol) xcrazy, that france is now getting a "national final" and the Uk haven't got theirs back (yet) It well be a small basic one, but never the less its still one. xcry1

Well it's on Sunday, so we aren't at work :) BTW, it's a program with poor ratings and mostly watched by grandmothers (well, it's on France 3 )... We'll see... But I suppose it won't be available outside France in any ways... :(

Great news then! Even if it is on a Sunday in the afternoon its still different then the last few years and at least there's a choice even if its only 3. :p

Better contenders than Amandine, has anyone said what artists or song types were rejected?

What type of program is "Les Chansons d'abord"? I suppose its ratings stink with that time slot  Does this give clues about what kind of songs will be up for selection?

November 26 is 3 weeks away that must mean they have everything (artist/songs) already put together right? Everything must be under lock and key since we haven't heard a single thing until today. In the last few years there were at least rumors of artists that proved to be right what have we had so far this time?

 We are brothers in Eurovision shame. We don't take that seriously... But I guess the 3 entries may be good things after all... If there are so few entries... :)

Well I LOVED every French entry since the introduction of the juries (and many before that too) so I'm probably going to really like all 3 choices they give and will probably be happy with whatever wins

I haven't been a particular fan of France of France in the competition. Granted 2009 and 2011 were decent songs that deserved to do well, but i still wouldn't rate them in my personal favourites. Since 2009 i would say the only song i liked was 2012, and to me 2013 was an awful downgrade from 2012.

Well, it's a program with singers going to promote their album... They sit altogether on sofas and sing old songs. And they talk about the story of Chanson française... It's not particularly exciting...

As for the rejected contenders, Amandine herself talked about Lilywood and the Prick and someonelse I don't remember. I konw there was also Merwan Rim. There was also... Anne Marie David xpuke xrofl3 Well some curious names certainly... And amateurs also in the 15 shortlisted...

But actually, all those news are weird, but it was on france 3 website... France Télévisions make very weird things since september so... xrofl2

You mentioned Brice Conrad being promoted by France Télévisions currently. Do you think this news makes him a bigger possibility since it appears there is like only 3 weeks till the NF and we haven't heard any other names?

Since France likes to change genres every year it could be his style they want this time and they haven't done it. If he does I hope its a song like SONGE I really liked that one, simple yet very catchy.
