More chances for what? For being forgotten the minute it is over? - Oh yes! There you are totally right.
Well that is my opinion...
Cicciolina is a typical fan wank crash..

Funny enough, the odds for this song is currently at no 20. For a winning song that received so much hate because the fan favourite flops is pretty decent.

Don't mind me, I actually enjoy the song. Thought it's one of the better ballads we are getting this year. It's in my top 15. Surprising. Although Cicciolina would have been in my top 5.

Well togehter with "cool me down" , "cicciolina" will always be remembered in the ESC-annals (mind the double n! ) as the perfect example of a missed chance to win the contest, whereas Aksel.... Who's Aksel?
(Don't get me wrong - I don't hate the song and in another year it might have reached my Top 20 or Top 15.)

Well I really think he will be high with juries in the 2nd semi..
I predict jury TOP 5 to go smth like this in that semi:
1. Bulgaria
2. Finland/Switzerland
3. Switzerland/Finland
4. Iceland
5. Albania (we will see after revamp and translation)/Moldova

Margaret is definitely one of the worst..
Michal Szpack did better than she would in ESC, I'm 100% sure about it..
She couldn't win televoting even in Poland..

Neither could Aksel in Finland. Margaret is still remembered. Will Aksel be next June? Rather not.

Erika and her bears arriving on stage (in hell)
I wish every performer would enter the stage like her!
Indeed, it was - 10 / 10
I can't remember such hot ESC/NF performance.
Even "Dance Alone" and "Decadence" are a little weaker.

I think bears was pointless in that performance and should have replaced with 2 male dancers or that teddybear, which Erika was holding in green room. But this is just my opinion.

I did think about what she should have done for the staging. The thought of male dancers did come across my mind, but then it would either look very normal or very tacky depending how the male dancers are dressed. I feel she could have gone by having 2 pairs of male-female dancers or all-female dancers (all Cicciolina-wannabes).

9 times out of 10 my favourite doesn't make it in our NF's. The winner is almost always a song I don't understand or find overrated or annoying. However, I have learned to live with that. It's not that hard really.
It's just a song contest about who will perform at another song contest.
Then a few months later we do it all over again. It's not really very dramatic, is it?

I know. Finland used to be one of my favourite countries in Europe, but they keep on letting me down with their NF winners. The only winner I agree with in the past 10 years is Saara Aalto-Monsters, and there were only 3 songs so it was 33% possibility haha.

"Marry Me" is the best :fi: entry.
It's not only "bride material" , it's a bride herself. xlove
I was sure in her top 3 result on Eurovision .

Top 5 🇫🇮 entries :
1. Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me (2013)
2. Cat Cat - Bye Bye Baby (1994)
3. Monica Aspelund - Lapponia (1977)
4. Carita Holmstrom - Keep Me Warm (1974)
5. Kristina Hautala - Kun Kello Kay (1968)

Pretty much the exact same situation here (i.e. I've been following UMK since 2013 and haven't yet gotten my way with the exception of Monsters). I said earlier in the year that I was sort of cursed when it came to my favourites in UMK, but that I didn't really mind this year because I had no big favourite. Later on, though, Cicciolina grew on me in a major way and became a big favourite... which I guess made it subject to the UMK-curse

I actually don't mind Aksel (haven't done up a review post yet but TL;DR the song is kinda nice, 5-6 points I guess). It's just that a) I've now had almost a decade now of Finland picking the "kinda nice" song over the "12 points, please win Eurovision" song; b) I still don't have a single 12 yet this season, after losing a lot of potential candidates in NFs; and c) Looking Back is yet another contemporary radio ballad in a year that has far too many of those already for my tastes. So the song kind of represents what's annoying me about all of those trends.

(Still though, it's pleasant enough in and of itself, and Aksel seems lovely. I wish the broader fandom would stop sending him hate messages. Just aaaaargh, Finland, get your act together for next year please, you have so much potential)
