I didn't know what was going on with such bad result in the poll... now I get it. I hope people forget about this Cicciolina drama and focus on the song you are sending, which is not bad at all. Actually it's in my top 15 in one of the strongest years I can remember.

I love "Cicciolina" but it wasn't even my #1. Aksel on the other hand was my last place since day 1 and if Finland really wanted to go with jury pleaser ballad they should've sent Tika.

Looking Back is just generic. Like, THAT is why it offends me that it won. Finland had a buffet of delicious, spicy women and instead were like "no thanks, I'll just have a hard-boiled egg".

I don't fault Aksel for winning, but i wouldn't be too unhappy if Estonia found themselves burned to the ground for the war-crimes they've commited during this Euroseason.

All this nastiness to Aksel just gives me Michał Szpak and Roberto Bellarosa vibes, fans hating, zero them with pleasure, wishing them the very worst and predicting a big flop. Hopefully Aksel can bring a good result, for Finnish standards that means a qualification.
I was one of the many who wanted Cicciolina for ESC so hard (mostly based in the lyrics video and the expectations I had for the live performance) but this is not happening so let’s just move on!

I understand completely if Looking Back is not to your liking. You can hate it all you want on its own merits, I have zero problems with that. I do that all the time to other countries.

But some of the Cicciolina-crusaders around the internet have been so vicious, that their Kween Erika would absolutely recoil in disgust and want nothing to do with them, had she seen what they're saying about her colleague.
She is a decent person and would never support that kind of hatred.

But then Finland did not 100% want Aksel to represent them given that technically Erika won the televote (though marginally). I personally think the "downfall" of Erika is mainly:
(1) Erika's song is not a jury-magnet, so it's understandable it would not have won the IJ vote, although putting F3m over her was certainly very questionable.
(2) Erika's performance wasn't the best of the night. It felt kinda deflated compared to the amazing studio version. Whereas, Aksel's vocals was much better and the staging elevated the song. So it's understandable why she didn't won the televote by a landslide.

Eurovision fans can be pathetic sometimes. Must live a sad life if you dislike a YT video and bash an artist's hard work just because you don't like their song. They should put this amount of energy into hyping their favourites instead.

This was just like in UMK 2017: Emma failed her live-performance and Norma John won with amazing staging and very good vocals.
