Group I was the only group that consisted of four Euro 2016 participants (all Croatia, Turkey, Iceland and Ukraine). Finland was the strongest team of Pot 5, Kosovo the strongest team of Pot 6.
Iceland was lucky to get Croatia from Pot 1 (instead of Germany, Spain, France), apart of that Group I was the toughest groups overall.

As I predicted. Argentina managed to pass the group after all. Very unconvincing play even on this match. I feel bad for they played their best match on the tournament. I don't think they will get far definitely, I think might be their last stop already.

I am sad that is going home after these 3 rounds But sadly, after the match with Argentina they didn't show much. They were solid tonight but the last pass was problematic. In general, it was a deserved victory of who was amazing on all 3 matches.


The duel between and is the weakest one so far on the tournament. We haven't seen anything worthy of attention. It was obvious that both wanted to potentially evade Argentina.

Today is the day for us....either we make a sensation or we go home. I think our chances are slim but they do exist. With the right approach and with great team organization on the field, we will have our chances.

I will also be rooting for ::cr as well. But, in any case, we should focus only on our duel with and we need to try to win....no matter how hard it will be.


If we play good and lose, I don't think anyone will be able to complain as we will know that we gave our best. And if we do manage to make a miracle well..........it will already be an achievment of its own to eliminate the #1 favorites for the title

Well, that was it ... our team simply didn't deserve it. We never played convincing in this WC, we missed everything to be a good team. I can only hope that we return stronger next time again. Holy moly ... the curse of the WC-winner goes on, it seems. I just hope that a team wins this time who never held the trophy in ist Hand so far!

I almost burst out crying after seeing Sweden completly crush Mexico...and especially when Korea scored against Germany and seeing the mexicans celebrate. Totally deserving qualifiers and well done to Korea for a great match. I love the world cup!
