A bad day for the future. In the end only europeans and south americans can do what they want and still advance. I hate that

Senegal </3 Why didn't they agree on draw man smh should have done the same ugly play like Japan

So we have

South America 4/5 = 80%
Europe 10/14 = 71%
North/Middle America 1/3 = 33%
Asia 1/5 = 20%
Africa 0/5 = 0%

South America best continent confirmed once again. Deserve more WC spots xqueenbitch

And some of theit best teams haven't even qualified. I'm pretty sure Italy, Chile or Nl could beat Japan on the fly. And there are teams who can make it pretty hard for those countries... Greece ,Turkey, Bosnia, Ukraine ,Ecuador, Slovakia and the list goes on and on and on.

Conflicting result, lowkey happy we're now in the 'easier' half and skip the likes of Brazil and Portugal, but our momentum and winning record has been broken. It seems clear it was a strategy to not win with the main team all being rested pretty much.

I am so sad for Senegal :( However, I have to admit, they were not good at all yesterday. :co: was a better team. But, still, to be eliminated because of yellow cards really sucks :( I am glad that at least :jp: is through but they will definitely have to play better if they want to pass :be: I am glad that :pl: managed to show something at least for the end :D

:be: was better than :en: last night. Not much but exactly for that one goal. Now whether :en: was saving themselves on purpose or not, that's the real question. They are in a better position now, that's for sure. But, either way, they will need to pull out their best game so far if they want to pass:co: .

I am glad that Panama also scored one more time :D Too bad they couldn't get a historical victory too :(

Wow a day without soccer .... call it abstinence. I wonder who will be the winner between France and Argentinia. Will be an interesting match! And Uruguay against Portugal. I am hoping for France and Uruguay. :D

With no football today, I took a little time to become the nerd I am. :geek:

Which team would lift the trophy if the latest result between two countries was counted? If a previous match ended in a draw, the 2nd latest result if counted. If there aren't any more games left, then the results is randomized.

Check on my bracket made through challonge.com to see how it went out, pretty interesting stuff: https://challonge.com/ovg4rouz
(Remember the hoover the mouse over the 1-0 games, it can't be so that the first match ended in a draw, so that the 2nd game is being counted.)

Haha, well this is what happened when we take the most recent results...but I wouldn't predict us to go that far...but this is our best chance ever to reach the semis, since Switzerland has two banned defenders this match and if England wins and goes to QF, we always play rather well against, so this is really our best chance in 24 years to go so far! :D

Looking forward to today's matches :D Both should be very interesting and equal. I will be rooting for :fr: in the first match and :pt: in the second :D I like Uruguay as well but I will be with a European team here.

I am still sad that my favorite :de: is knocked out :( But there were obviously too many accumulated issues sadly. And the loss from South Korea has shown that things need to be fixed.

Quite excited for the games today! xcheer xjump Hoping that at the end of the WC, a small team, that never won the cup so far, will hold the trophy in its hands! And to that team a warning: be careful in 4 years that the curse might get hold of you!

Holy moly, so many rumors going on here ... IF Löw should decide to resign. Many Name droppings in the press who could fill his steps like Miroslav Klose, Matthias Sammer, Jürgen Klopp, Christian Streich or even Arsene Wenger. Don't think though that Klopp would leave Liverpool, he is happy there. I would love to see Klose, even when he hasn't worked as a coach yet. He would have the spirit. I also love Streich, since he is working with many young talents. But mostly I hope that Löw will decide to stay at least for the euro 2020. He really deserves it. He is still an amazing coach!
