The Netherlands take the roll of the daddy of Europe...."Open up, gay boys!"
No but, this ain't the worst slogan I've heard, I think it is pretty decent. :)

What an interesting way to introduce Sietse Bakker:

As for "Open Up"... my first thought was that dirty meme with Kermit & Azerbaijan 2019

Wow, that is the dirtiest slogan ever. Get the lube ready and OPEN UUUUUUP!!! (Petra Mede throws her cards up in the air)

I hope the interval acts include the running bee-hole challenge. Would be fun.

Hey, at least we could wonder what kind of event logo is actually prepared for this edition.

IKR! Didn't expect that, in a good meaning :D  Thought it would be more boring official.

De Wereld Draait Door is a fun talkshow, they don't do formal. Thank fuck they don't though.

The images are from De Slimste Mens Ter Wereld, which is a superpopular Flemish quiz (it's similar to QI in that it's more a comedy panel show framed like a quiz than a serious quiz show - the questions are usually lowbrow and tongue-in-cheek, as you can see), which is also very popular in The Netherlands even though the Dutch have their own version. This Dutch version is definitely more official boring than it should be.

I don't know anything about eurovision 2020 except that it's taking place in roterdam, slogan is open up and that Sweden will finish in top 3 with juries.

Slow news time...

Aside of that, my two cents on the logo reveal.
tracking back 2019 to 2015, 3/5 broadcaster revealed the theme logo on January
1. 2019 (KAN): 8 Jan
2. 2017 (PBC): 30 Jan
3. 2016 (SVT): 25 Jan
While 2/5 chose some time in November
1. 2018 (RTP): 7 Nov
2. 2015 (ORF): 25 Nov
I predict NPO to reveal the artwork as fast as mid-November, but as late as late-December.

But it also can be as late as late-January. Who knows if they're trying to build unnecessary hype, once again.

Sietse Bakker said that ESC 2020 will mostly see 3 hosts.

What a mess. Two hosts should be the absolute maximum, any more than that and it just becomes awkward.

Also I'm very confused as to why Edsilia Rombley's name isn't being mentioned for hosting duties, she's the only living Dutch singer to have gone to Eurovision twice with great songs, has a great personality, and is very entertaining!

I dislike the presence of a host in terms of Eurovision 95% of the time anyway. The scripted jokes which aren't even funny, the stupid and dull questions in the green room "How do you feel?" bla bla whilst rushing through the voting sequence... I actually wouldn't mind facing Eurovision without a host... it totally worked in terms of award shows...why not Eurovisino? or just get someone who's going to explain the "rules" and someone who "hosts" the voting ceremony and that's all...

Actually, for the semis at least, the UK gets to skip all that awkward green room talk. The BBC do their own interviews and TV sketches that cuts all the green room chatter out and some of the other stuff. It can be a little frustrating at times but overall it creates a much better watching experience as they go proper close up with and interview a lot of the esc entrants in the sketches (even if it is kinda joking) and then a couple always show up to talk live. They even went into the Australian commentary booth this year, and avoided the Russian one.
