No surprise - Serbians were a way WAY better than Lithuanians. The way we played was kinda pathetic, and we were struggling a lot. Anyway, I hope we will improve by our next game. :} Congratz to Serbia. Well deserved victory.

Thanks xcheers I think that the Lithuanian team will rise in the following matches and that this defeat, even though is never good for one team, will serve well. There is more than enough individual quality in your team, and I still see :lt: as one of the contenders for the medal.

What to say about yesterday's match, I am really satisfied with both the result and the play. Even if we lost, I would be happy because of the approach of the whole team, but we played all 40 minutes on a very high level. Just like I said before the match, the key thing is to stop the Lithuanian backs (above all) from getting into the shooting series with tight and aggressive defense full of take-overs. We managed to do that, and I am very, very happy with how we played the defense. Since the backs were indeed cut off, :lt: had to look for solutions under the racquett where they have strong and tough centers, but it is not the traditional Lithuanian style of play, as if the shot functioned yesterday, it would've been different. By stopping Kleiza and Valanciunas we did most of the job. I think Jasikevicius is definetly missing here, but the :lt: team is very strong even like this, and as I said, I expect the rise in the following matches.

3 best players of our team were Krstic (traditionally), Nedovic (great in both defense and offense, and especially in counter-attacks where he is almost unstoppable) and Markovic (who played a very, very aggressive defense).

Now our next rival is :ba:. It will not be an easy match, as Bosnia has an imperative of victory and they play quite atypical. We shouldn't relax and underestimate them, but we must be serious from the start. The key to winning this match is to stop Teletovic as well as Gordi, Wright and Djedovic who was the best player against :lv: yesterday. I hope for the second victory.

After the victory against France yesterday, Germany lost against Belgium today -.-

So the victory was completely worthless... crew too soon
maybe they overrated themselves after beating one of the favourites ( so they have bad attitude) or they just stupid
Very disappointed today!
It's a pity that a big country like Germany is unsuccessfull in nearly every ball sport apart of football obviously (+hockey), especially compared to other big countries like France. Basketball, Handball, Ice hockey Volleyball, Water Polo.. just average level in all these sports. All support money flows in football, but nobody cares about sports like Basketball or Ice hockey. well, that's too much Off-topic I guess

Congratulations Slovenia! My fingers were crossed for you and I'm very happy as well for your victory. :)
I'm also excited for our victory against Macedonia. It was very stressful match too but I'm glad players played much better than yesterday - although it seems they are still too stressed to make 3 points shoots. Anyway, I'm proud of them! They did their absolutely best today. :)

:sl: 78 - 69 :es:

Silly mistakes in our defense + Highly aggresive Slovenian defense + Quite a few of shots missed in Q3 & Q4 + Public pressuring a lot = Disaster

So that's it xcry1 Congratulations Slovenija ;)

Congratulations to :hr: and :sl: I am very happy that you guys managed to win your matches and I hope you keep up in the same rhytm xcheer Generally, people are telling me that :es: doesn't play anything special so far, but after all, it is Spain (even though Spain without Gasol and Navaro), and I am sure that their form will rise for the most important matches in the knock out round and that they will start slamming their rivals from there.

:rs: beated :ba: with 77-67 xcheer Second victory of our team and yet again a good and confident play, althought not as much as yesterday as we had same some falls in our play and at one point we relaxed too much, so the advantage of +25 quickly melted to +10 but still we were keeping the solid distance through almost the whole match. Oscilations are normal, just like the fact that we shouldn't play each match with 100% of energy, as it is a long tournament but we shouldn't let an advantage to disappear that easily as stronger rivals will punish this. In the Bosnian team Teletovic played well, although we managed to stop him in most parts, while Djedovic delivered yet again great match, but it was not enough for a better result.

And in our team, Markovic played like a doctor yet again (especially in the defense), while, imo, the weakest player from the match against :lt: Kalinic played great in the defense which is an improvement for him. He shouldn't have any involvements in the attack and should stay only on defense.

Tomorrow is a new match, and our next rival is :mk: aletem, get ready!  Generally, it will be a very hard match, and we must have the same approach we had in the previous two matches. Macedonia has a great team, and this score that they have now shows nothing, Obviously, the biggest preoccupation about our rival tomorrow is Bo McCaleb, and we need to find a solution to stop him and fill him with fouls (this should be performed on other key players of Macedonian team like Pero Antic and Cekovski as well, but McCaleb is the engine of this team, and if we stop him, we did most of the job) as soon as possible. I think a plaster should be played on him. As for the others, I think we could definetly force quick transformations with Nedovic as a switch, as I think they will have problems to stop that. And we should just play what we played so far, and be aggressive in the defense all the time.

:mk: must win this match tomorrow in order to stay in the game for the second phase, so that will make life tougher for us as well. The good thing for us, though, is that :mk: has a short bench and the shortest rotation on the championship so I believe that most, if not all of their players are already quite tired.

Congrats to Lithuania! Well deserved! You got your revenge from 2 years ago! I am surprised that :mk: didn't lose with +20 today. I expected a defeat, I just didn't think it would be too tight in the end. The even greater part is that Latvia defeated Montenegro with 1 point difference, so :mk: chances are still high enough to qualify. Ok, next opponent is Serbia. And while Serbia played 2 really good games and they have a strong team, I am actually optimist for that game. If things start right and players are not nervous, then I think Macedonia can win that one and would even mean a lot, because if they both go in the next phase, Macedonia will have a victory in the pocket. Plus, Serbia is not too consistent when it comes to victories, so I think anything can happen. Anyway, my mind is on the football match vs. Wales tomorrow and hopefully Macedonia will win that match!

Congrats :sl:, although it's not that surprising. :'D
Next up we have... Poland, which should be an easy catch for us. But after seeing our performances in the past 4 months you can never be sure. :'D Good luck Croatia. :)

^^ Hahahaha, this is hardcore! xrofl3

:ba: scored the first victory today :D And Aca Trica (the coach) has fallen to a trance  Bosnia played quite well and stable. They didn't give up even though the whole team is quite limited and they deserved the victory. :me: team started celebrating after getting +10 5 minutes before the end like the match is over. Djedovic was once again the best player of the team, and Gordic finally started working. Several great assists and "back-door" passes and he hit some shots that were very, very important for the Bosnian team.

I expected :me: to be one of the potential surprises of the championship but so far they showed nothing. Only Rice plays well, the others are completely lost. Vucevic has now moved to NBA and he couldn't hit anything in these three matches, Dubljevic scored two times for three points and that was all, Aleksa Popovic -0.........the defense barely exists and there is no discipline in their play at all. Sekulic as the oldest player of the team has shown the most so far. Bosnia was a bit scared of the victory at the end so they made a whole bunch of childish mistakes, and couldn't control the rebounds at all, but still managed to win in the end.

It will be very interesting to see how things play out here, especially if we beat the Macedonian team tonight.

:tr: so far is the biggest disappointment for me on this championship :( And I am also sad that after a great start of the :de: team they now lost from :be: and :ua: :(

Czech team, as I said earlier, is a potential surprise. Both them and Finland are very underestimated by the global medias.

I don't understand what's the problem with :tr: currently. It is one of the most experienced team, but they are incredibly bad.
