Well, they are all French, as long as most of them are born in France...
And I don't understand why people here can't have it that Guadeloupe, Martinique and all the overseas territories are for us just another French departments...
Who makes any difference between Alaska, Hawaï and the rest of the USA because there is a border between them and because Hawaï is a distant island. It's the same there... Guyane is just our Alaska... People there live exactly like us. Only difference is that they are far away, black and they have tropical forests... It's a bit of Europe in America, that's why they face huge immigration from neighbouring countries...
BTW, basket ball team is mainly black because it's a urban sport practices by very few people. It's identified to black US community, so that basket ball players there are people who identifies to this subculture... All the more as we aren't usually tall persons !
3You won't find basket-ball clubs in villages contrary to football, rugby and handball who are everywhere... And also, very few players of the team are in French clubs, because they are tiny, though Tony Parker tried to launch a bigger competition with buying and managing the team of Villeurbanne...
That's why it's a great surprise to have won this competition. It was our second final (after 2011 lost to
) and basket ball is basically not our culture... But girls were also in the finals of the Olympics and were extremely nice, so that it attracted also great coverage of basket ball in France !
