Yes it is, but unfortunately the chance is gone... there was an argument between the DFB (German football association) and the Bremen government about the payment of special police operations and stuff like that... so the DFB changed the venue and announced that Bremen wont stage any match of the German national team in the future
The DFB had always an aversion against us like in world cup 2006, when they promised us before that our stadium will be one of the venues and at the end they decided for Hanover... but thats off topic... just wanna say that DFB is a bunch if old stingy and devious men -.-

DFB is still thinking it's an honour for the cities to pay all the prizes for having the national team in :(

the other semi final is a brother match between :de: and :at:

the Austria side is amazing, it's maybe their "golden generation". They have improved their youth promotion for a long time, but I think they were never a team as good as this team. So I assume it gonna be a tight match and I don't think we are huge favorite. Would be great if we can convey our domination in football also on Under-19 level, but especially against Serbia there were some weak points noticeable... our defense is prone to failure and the goal keeper doesn't seem to be very gifted. Austria is clinical enough to take advantage of this

This match gonna be interesting for me personally, because there are involved two talented guys from Werder Bremen. Germany striker davie Selke, who is leader of the scoring ranking (5 goals already, he is just unstoppable :D )
and Austria midfielder Florian Grillitsch, who is an important creative player for Austria and scored twice up to now.
I'm proud that two of the best players of tournament are playin for my favorite club and I hope they keep developping so one day maybe the become key players. We have financial problems, so we have to set our hope on talents like these two

JamieBrown Well, actually afaik the argument wasn't about matches in which are national teams involved. It's rather about the "high risk matches" for example matches against Hamburg, in which a special police operation is necessary to avoid conflicts between the fans. Currently the cities have to pay the whole thing, so every tax payer, even the persons who doesn't care about football pay for this police operations. DFB and DFL are very wealthy and they are the organizers so I think it's a fair solution if the payment is shared between the city and the DFL.
Instead of discussing with Bremen about this topic on a sensible way and looking for a mutual solution, they are only demonstrating their power and blackmailing the city by isolating us from every DFB-related activity :( From now on no city will complain anymore because they have to fear such kind of punishment

That's all the same I think about this situation. The cities should be investing the money, they don't have, in things more important than football, I know they have to do something for their clubs status', but as you said: DFL and DFB have so much money, they should invest something in thos risk games. And I know what you are talking about, my home club is FC Cologne :lol:

Yes, me as well :mrgreen: Good luck and may the better team win :D You have bigger chances as we won last year + we are now left without the best player, but the chances are 50-50.

Good luck to you and may the best team win indeed! The group stage went very well for Portugal so the confidence is high, let's see what happens.

yeah, we just outclassed Austria. I assumed a win, but not a 4:0... really impressing

On the one hand we had physical advantages over Austria, but also in terms of playing we were just better

I'm sad for Florian Grillitsch, but very happy for our shooting star Davie Selke. 6 goals in 4 matches, he scores like a machine.

After this match Serbia's chances to reach the final are pretty realistic
DanielLuis the match is already over. We won 4:0 :)

:fr::nl::tr::be::ba::es:
:ua::de::sc::ch::en::gr:
:ro::se::at::it::hr::pt:
:dk::hu::ru::sk::pl::is:

Don't ask me how :lol:

EDIT

Then I dit like I want the matches to end and got this

:fr::is::cz::be::ba::sk:
:es::de::ie::ch::en::hu:
:fi::at::se::no::hr::dk:
:am::it::wale::ee::me::sc:

I have to say sorry to ::ulst(the flag code for Northern Ireland is hidden :shock:):pl: and maybe to :nl:, too. You have to wrong groups to root for you! You all came 3rd, but I liked to see Wales, Estonia, Montenegro and Scotland more in the Cup than your teams! xshrugs

Well, that's too exhausting for me :D

But I'm looking forward so much to September, when the qualifying starts... to finally see our world cup heroes again and to root for Iceland and hope they gonna continue their positive trend

by the way: Portugal defeated Serbia in 2nd semi final of the under-19 Euro by penalty kick-out and gonna be our opponent in the final. Serbia is knocked out without losing a match
