Re: DENMARK 2014

Like Matt says, they won last year, so It's difficult to argue that it sucked when they clearly made the right choice.

You can still think a song suck regardless of how it ended up in ESC, music taste is subjective afterall. Though, obviously the majority seem to agree that it was atleast a somewhat good entry (afterall it one televotes), but there will always be people who won't agree with the general taste.

Yes, I was merely referring to my personal taste and I find "only teardrops" to be the weakest winner besides "Running Scared" since the 90s which was full of horrible winners. But that's just me. It's a competition and it won, I'm moving on.....

Yes and I was using the results to indicate the majority disagreed with you. No need to be so sensitive. You have an opinion, I disagree with it. Simples.

Re: DENMARK 2014

I think that the winners of 2001, 2002, 2003, 2008 and 2011 are worse than 2013 and of corse it's my personal taste...

Add 2006 and 2007 to that list aswell for me... and oh I think 2013 winner is equally as good as 2009...

It's beyond me though how anyone would prefer the 2001-2002 winners, but each to their own xshrug

2003? xshock
2003 was among the best winners of the last 23 years IMO (I can't really have an opinion prior to 1991....). Along with 1995, 2006, 2007 and 2009.

In 1999, 2000, 2001 and yes, 2002 we were living particularly dark ages. I'm just glad I wasn't watching then!

To each their own. I think "Everyway that I can" is the second worst winner of this century (only 2001 is worse), is an annoying song, was quite poorly performed and Belgium suffered one of the bigest robberies ever in ESC ;)

Well, Everyway That I Can was actually the only song I can remember ever from ESC to be a great hit at the time around here. It played on the radios, discos, everywhere! Belgium was also quite special, so I was pretty pleased that year with my two favourites coming 1st and 2nd :D

I think "Everyway that I can" is decent but has a slightly amateur-ish production and has aged badly, I preferred Russia back in 2003 (but the performance was a mess like all t.A.T.u. performances are). Still though Turkey was my second fav that year and it really stood out in a generally weak edition.

Belgium was really bad though, I'll never get how it could end up that high. I much prefer their second jibberish language entry from 2008 instead.

Funny, I would have thought you loved belgium 2003

But it is true, Russia was great, one of my other favourites and it wasn't all that messy, I had totally forgotten it belonged to that very good year! X-OI

Re: DENMARK 2014

Both danish winner songs in the 21st century = lame.
The winners from 2001, 2008 and 2011 can almost compete with them in lame-ness.

2004, 2009 and 2012 are the best winner songs from this century in my book.

I guess my expectations for Denmark are somewhat higher this year due to our win. But DMGP pretty much sucks every year so.....

IMO, 2005, 2007 and 2012 are the only worthy winners of this century so far... the rest are either meh or awful!

Anyway, I think this is a bit off topic ;)
