I so wish the rumours are true and we'll see him in DMGP. Perfect for ESC.

Re: DENMARK 2014

Yup, at least in Denmark :D

Bryan Rice and Danni Elmo have done DMGP before. They both came 2nd (2010 and 2006).

Sonny is a well known dancer, Basim has done X Factor and Anna David has a very successful career in pop music. Nadia Malm and Michael Rune have had several club hits.

xheya Just like every year I'm looking forward to the Danish selection this year. The Danish final is always one of the highlights of the Eurovision season for me. The line-up sounds already promising. Very curious to listen to all the songs. xheya

I wish the best to Emilie Moldow and 'Vi finder hjem', the only song in Danish. xqueenbitch

I don't

Unfortunately, for same reason I can't explain, Danish language songs in DMGP are usually lame and dated.

Re: DENMARK 2014

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a Danish song at Eurovision but I have to agree with the folks above me that those songs that were in Danish were rather lame, at least referring to the last few years.

For some reason it feels the same way at Melodifestivalen (not all but mostly) these days too xthink. The English language songs are more up to date (although still dated) but the Swedish language ones are like on a completely different planet

I think the English language ones appeal more to the youth crowd while the Swedish/Danish language ones appeal to the older crowds. The native language entries appear to be composed by older people who have been writing Eurovision entries a lot longer (like since the 80s) while the English ones have younger writers from the last 10-15 years.

There seems to be a big generation split or something in terms of composing and voting so that's why the English ones seems to do so well and the native language ones seem to mostly flop xshrug
