You are right. Cha cha cha had one of the greatest stagings. One problem though: the song was missing. Impossible to vote for this unless you like clown acts. Croatia this year is totally different, sure hits the vibe, but so much far from the joke Cha cha cha.
Excuse me wthat?

I still don’t believe :hr: can win but the staging looks very good actually, really powerful. His improvement since his first live performance is impressive.

Well I guess it's now more likely than ever that Croatia is gonna win the televote. I just don't see it winning as big as e.g. Finland last year. It remains to be seen what the juries will do with it. At least from a vocal standpoint Baby Lasagna is miles ahead of Käärijä but the performance of the latter had a more "artsy" feel to it. Forth or fifth with the juries seems not too far fetched, I guess.
I see at least Switzerland (Jury: 1st or 2nd / Tele: 3rd or 4th) and Ukraine (Jury: 3rd or 4th / Tele: 2nd or 3rd) doing better combined tbh, maybe even Italy. We shall see what happens.

Yes, I’m gonna repeat it: Cha cha cha was everything, but a song. Absolutely silly act that I couldn’t stand for a minute.

It's fun and catchy and I like it, but I'm really surprised this is leading the odds. 12 points.

I haven’t followed all selection shows and saw the semi for the first time today and my impression is so huge that I decided to come back and re watch Croatian entry! Definitely the Winner in capitals!!!

Vocals were not great. I can see the juries sacking this now, and i'm with them. Nemo and Switzerland deserves to win, this does not. I'm not usually for juries, but for now they are here, and whining about "the juries are not objective" is ridiculous. There's no objective standards for music, you can't blame them if they vote tactically (against Croatia winning).

It just doesn't accomplish anything by winning, it's just another fun audience-friendly high-energy performance, musically it's really not bad, but i've come to feel sour about it because of the obnoxiousness of crazed fans who wants this to win just so they can afford going to the ESC next year - Croatia is notoriously cheap, while Switzerland is notoriously expensive.

That is just selfish and has nothing to do with who deserves to win. I see a final #2 or #3 with the juries sinking it, and it may not even be #1 with televote, i'm hoping Nemo completely dominates both votes so we get a fair winner for once.

Still all the best luck to him and his future career, and he's already sure to have one, no matter the result in the contest. I just think Nemo would do much more to the contest and to culture overall, as a winner than this would, they're almost complete opposites in that respect. On this streak, Croatia could win within a few years, just not this time.

One of my favourites this year and did not dissappoint me. Although, there were some camera shots that did not work for me.
I hope they correct a few mishaps to make the performance more impactful.

I'll believe the juries burying a betting odds favorite (and Croatia has really pulled away now) when I see it. Which is totally counterproductive, but we've seen it last year when Cha Cha Cha got a ridiculous fourth place. Why would this be any lower?

I thought the performance was actually quite cool and the dance certainly is a moment. This will easily win the televote.

So the song, the genre is absolutely not my cup of tea ... BUT I was entertained by the performance. So I guess if Croatia wins I could live with it. We shall see.

Witnessing his journey to the confident performer that he's become makes me happy. I loved it tonight, great energy and to be honest I don't find any flaws in his vocals, it sounds very good to me, but I'm no professional. We have a long way till the final, but I hope he wins.

If I were to nitpick, I agree that some camera angles could be better, some seemed a little random.

I felt the “winner” vibes during his performance.

Well.... it makes me think of Måneskin. Still not a fan, as it relies a little too much on AR live, but I have heard nobody in the building that thought this live performance hurt their chances, so congratz Zagreb!
