When I first heard this I thought he was overdoing the stereotypes a bit, but after a while the penny dropped and I realized that's the point of the song. Not my personal taste, but can't find any rational arguments to not like it any more, so would be happy to see it win!

I guess this lost a little bit of it’s magic, but I still think he has a shot for the win, let’s see what gonna happen, I will be happy with the outcome if Croatia take the win, love him!

Being a zoomer means I associate Eurovision with Eastern Europe and the Balkans especially from growing up. Eurovision finally coming back home to the Balkans after so many years would be amazing, I'd love for a non-Western country that isn't Ukraine to win.

If he just copy-pasted the music video to the stage I would fully be behind this, despite the song not being among my personal favourites. What worries me is that he seems to be keeping the fist-pump dance, which was one of the parts of the Dora performance that seemed to be the least thought-out. I get that he wants a meme-able dance, but it just looks pretty lame and stationary. Compare it to Joost's choreography during his chorus.

If I was the director for this my first move would be to press the big shiny delete button on everything from the Dora performance, so that makes me worry if he is planning to keep other things as well.

Croatia won the OGAE Poll. An interesting fact: out of 18 competitions held, 6 winners went on to win the ESC while 9 finished on the podium. Baby Lasagna will have a 34% chance of winning and a 50% chance of finishing in the top 3.

I can't at this song being called a joke. Even if you replace every single lyrics with la la las and only play the sound, it will still be a banger for its fans. There are humorous quirky parts on top of that core, sure, but the essence of the song isn't about humour. If that's not one's taste, that's fine, but it still doesn't make this a joke.

Whatever. I love this blend of genres and the energetic happy mood it puts me in. The entry has everything - a bit of Croatian tourism promo, a bit of humour, a bit of techno that I am usually not a fan of, a bit of rock that I am usually a big fan of, and even a message that we haven't exactly heard 1000 times before, which is really lovely. All in all an easy :12:.

A big chunk of my votes is ready - :hr: is firmly in my top 3 of this year, where the other two - :it: and :ua: - are recent winners and Eurovision powerhouses. I would be very happy with any of them winning, but I think a :hr: win is what Eurovision could really use right now to change things up a bit (as much as the juries will probably be a tough nut to crack).

Tumblr, mostly.
It's an unpolished snippet, but i chalk that up to it being a rehearsal. It's still good and could still win.

Whether it actually will... idk. Italy is a question mark and Ukraine looks very strong as well, not to mention the myriad of contenders in semi 2.

It looks messy, overloaded and totally out of place..and even a bit tacky imo.
I didn't really like the Nf performance either and it's a pity that they didn't spice it up.

Him wearing traditional clowns whilst his backup dancers function as clowns (with their moves and facial expressions), the guitar player, the neon pink LED-goat and the Pryor on stage... dunno. I sti think it's a hot contender for the Top 5 (Top 10 is probably on lock) but I can't see it being Top 3 in any vote (neither jury nor televoting).

It's good, I’m weighing up between 10 and 12 points. Depends on the semi performance. This is certainly a crowd puller though I don’t think it will have as much impact as Käärija had. Not sure weather this can really win the public vote but he‘s definitely in it to win it.

Some of the ESC fans lost little interest in this as it was a long time favorite, but the people who see it for the first time will love it.

I do think it has a certain impact on first viewers, maybe even more than Nemo.
Right now the odds are correct. Croatia and Switzerland both have winner vibes. I would put Ukraine at 3rd, believing no matter how different NL‘s staging will be from what we‘ve seen in the rehearsal the audience won’t get parts of it or the meaning behind.

betfair odds atm:
Croatia 3.20
Switzerland 4.80
Ukraine 6.80
Italy 7.60

Trying to figure out a path for a croatian victory. Most similar would be something like Måneskin or Käärija meaning winning the televote, but not the juryvote.
Måneskin managed to receive 206 Jury points. Though Måneskin did come with a very polished performance which amazed everyone during rehearsals. Måneskin also managed to become one of the most iconic bands of Eurovision.
Baby Lasagne came a long way after winning Dora, especially with his vocals. But the overall performance / staging doesnt feel nearly as strong as Måneskin's.
Käärija received 150 Jury points and while I'd argue he had (much) worse vocals than Baby Lasagna, it was a very entertaining performance.
While Croatia does have a chance to receive a decent jury score, there is also a good chance that more than 3 songs get a better jury score than them.

Now to the televote. Cha Cha Cha absolutely landslided the televote last year which surely won't happen with Croatia this year. Finland last year had one of the most iconic stagings and was pure fun. There was also part of the fandom heavily supporting Finland in a way we basically never had before.
Zitti e Buoni also had a great televote result with 318 points which I cant see Croatia topping. This year we have a lot songs for the viewers to chose from. Ukraine will eat up a lot of the eastern votes. Lots of countries with (strong) diaspora like Greece, Armenia, Lithuania could prevent Croatia getting very high televotes. There is also Europapa, La Noia and the Code. The scandis will have Sweden, Norway and Finland to give high points to. Israel is a thing on its own this year and might grab a good chunk of votes as well.

The needed points for an win might be (a lot) lower than usual, so I wouldnt rule out a croatian win. I am just surprised its the big odds favourite. We do have some of the wildest odds ever this year. Every little info seems to have strong influence and the market just cant make up its mind.
