Re: Creating new contest on the forum

Seriously, how many people know about Nigerian music? It would be our job to find a song and send it. If we're going to be in the juries of countries we know the music of, then there will be only some European countries, USA, Australia and Canada.

Maybe you're right, but I wanted to say that I DON'T want to participate for Nigeria.

But we can have poll for this too.

well thats the joys of being in a song contest, you get to discover songs. If youre just going to send songs you know already, it will be more boring for you and the people who listen to your songs!

Maybe, but there will be members which will participate for some countries which music I don't know,so I will hear songs.

I'm sure there would be a lot of ops for you to choose a different country than Nigeria.

Re: Creating new contest on the forum

Why making juries? Why don't you just let one person own one country.

There is already a contest for that in this forum.

We can change that rule to: "Every member can participate for any country as long as it's free". Here comes back my idea of rotating juries.

It sounds like ROW/WL.

Why do languages only need to be official? An average country has 45 different spoken languages. And if you only count the official ones, it is still over 2. List of official languages by state - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Languages do not need to be official. Actually I think we can let imaginary languages too.

Ok then, but then there will be a battle for Croatia between me,Hele and LakZaNokte. So this really doesn't have connection with main idea of game.
But if all 3 of you are going to play as Croatia all the time, WHY BOTHER LEAVING FSC?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?

So... you're going to be lazy, make others do the hard work, and you'll be just enjoying the songs later? You should also search for music of countries you don't know.

Pointing out that Nigeria has 510 distinctive living languages by itself so there would be plenty of Nigerian artists for everyone in the language contest :D

No, because you will be representing a different country on equal terms. It's not like that in ROW (where your country is not even named) or WL (where you can't take part in the main contest)

But that's not the point. You can't be kicked out from some jury.

Re: Creating new contest on the forum

Because if more people want to participate for one country they should not be stopped in join to it. ;) Contest is imagined that every member can join in country that he/she wishes.

But there is still not sure there will be countries. xrofl2

Then what the hell are people making drama about overcrowding?!

Eh, why the hell am I even bothered with this thread.

Re: Creating new contest on the forum

French language has to compete with English language in the Canada jury the same way Mexico has to compete with Argentina in the Spanish language jury.
Likewise, most languages are widely used in only one country.

In Spanish jury there can be 21 country in which Spanish is official language (no one says there will be all of them participating) while in Canada there are 2 official languages that would fight between each other. ;)
So it is not the same if Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Venezuela are fighting against each other while there is just fight between English and French. So, even if they are just 4 countries in Spanish jury, possibility to win for any of them in start is 0,25 while in Canadian jury is 0,5. ;)

Again, I said in MOST of countries there is only one language official. And yes, in many countries we have many other languages which is logical thanks to globalization but still, in that countries remain just one language as official (once more I do not say ALL but MOST). There are some very, very rare exceptions of songs in other languages in Croatia but that are all exceptions! I do not know in which countries are other languages WIDELY used? There will always be some minorities that maybe use that language but most of countries have just one language official. ;)

This is the language i said earlier i wanted to represent ;) By which i mean, creating a separate jury for all imaginary languages. And i already have a couple of potential entries on my mind.
