Thanks for the lovely compliment ! It always nice to read positive things over Axel. And now, especially for you :
I think it was more about the sense of "fakery". I mean he's getting carried away by his sweet feelings for his mum but to me, for instance, there's a lack of feeling, of spark, whatever you want to call it, and that's why I think Hegepege said that (the contrast of the sweet guy with the "psycho") . You certainly won't read me say that after my fierce defence of Carl
and I think in this case the problem here is the song itself. Not even a guy as sweet as Axel can save it because it's just too plastic. IMO of course.

He's being butchered in other places for his weight.
Oh well, I'm very happy he won. The whole arena was cheering for him after his first performance. We just kept on applauding & cheering. It was truly amazing being there.

How could anyone hate on Axel?!
The fact that people actually bring in the weight and the looks of performers gives me no hope in the human race at all!! If you don't like his song I can see why because it is not everyones cup of tea but to hate on a song because of the performers looks makes me sick! (If you are doing that and I know most people on here are not then I will pray for you because you need jesus!)
Also DO NOT criticise his voice because he is, by far, the BEST male vocalist this year!

Gosh, I still don't know what to think of this song......it certainly touches me more than the Armenian ballad (I don't know why people drool over that song) but at the same time it's quite bombastic and theatrical, rich with pathos. It's like Paul Potter meets Cezar.....
This kind of songs remind me of those talent shows (Britain's Got Talent, Holland's Got Talent) and their audiences just love this kind of performances.
But I really believe now that Belgium has a very viable chance to win in May.

Oh, I just saw that Belgium jumped to number 5 in the odds. Confirms what I suspect: Belgium can take this.
This is a song that can outshine the ones of Armenia, Sweden and Norway.
Brussels 2015 seems very likely
