It's like I'm watching glorious life-changing epic Belarusian auditions xlove Without angry bastards shouting "Next!" after 20 sec. so we could fully appreciate our legends.
Patiently waiting for "Blow on me" girl, Ukrainian grandpa and incomparable Milla Rozxheat

Mila xheart xheart It's scandalous her video was even removed. I follow her on instagram (and last time I checked) she follows me. xheat I'll forever wonder what the rest of it would have been like.

I don't know who they are and what they want, but I clearly can see that they definitely don't like the idea of Eurovision, which is to unite Europe, its people, the different cultures and create peace. They are trying to separate and create hate against us. I personally think their hate is also driven due to the fact Kazna is Russian, is trying to represent Belarus, while being white and wearing braids. Kazna is basically all of the things they hate, all in one... I am disgusted!

I just posted that we reached 10,000 plays on Spotify and the same old questions get asked again (always on Twitter and what I have also realized is that almost all of them don't even show their face in their pictures). I just got asked again:

"Do you have plans to make changes to the song now both of you are aware of the backlash from a majority of Eurovision fans? Surely you can see that this issue is only going to grow as the national final and Eurovision draw closer if Braids is selected?" (love the "majority" lie in this lol)

"Given that the whole song clearly is cultural appropriation and kazna herself has been pictured wearing the confederate flag, surely you must remove the song from the belarussian selection! It’s extremely offensive"

I usually try to avoid being negative towards NF entries, and rather focus on the good music, but I'm willing to make an exception for this. This is the worst attempt at a Eurovision entry I've heard. Ever.
hahahaha now it is obvious you didn't follow Belarusian auditions in previous years..

KAZNA's song is pretty interesting and catchy. Low-key reminded me of Zena but just more in-your-face and unique.
I seriously don't understand these cultural appropriation about her. Maybe I am being ignorant, but I would have never associated her trying to make fun of "black" culture. If anything, I thought she likes it and wants to promote it?
What a strange world the world has become. Every little thing becomes a trigger.

Anyway, back to the "live" performance. I love her energy. And she is such a confident performer. She even has a higher energy than her dancers who look like they don't want to be there. LOL. The intro is pretty interesting, it would work, shocking people.

Now my comment about Apu is gone. I've been cancelled.
I was wrong, forget i said that. But it gets even funnier. There are two videos on yt, one uploaded from Kazna and the other is from feathery. And the same pathetic user is bitching on both xrofl

Cultural appropriation has always been a very stupid hill to die on and I'm saying that as a very leftist person. Only a person with a very feeble understanding of history and how cultures interact with each other would be in favour of such a thing. Accusing people living in Eastern Europe of cultural appropriation in relation to colonialism is not only laughable, but it reeks of cultural imperialism - imposing woke American culture in a corner of the world that had nothing to do with the Atlantic slave trade, nor with colonialism at large, when in some situations they were even on the receiving end *cough* Ottoman slave trade *cough*.

Claiming braids is a cultural phenomenon that is only found in dominantly Black societies is idiotic. They've been used in other corners of the world for millennia. For example, braids have been used in Romanian traditional hairstyles for longer than the US even existed and it goes as far as our distant ancestors - the Dacians - who were using braids as a way to mark significant personal victories in war.

This reactionary reaction to culture is only hindering progress, if anything, and it goes against the very spirit of Eurovision.

you forgot to mention her shirt with a confederate flag though
To me, a flag of a country/state/province/whatever is just a flag and nothing more, but that can be a slippery slope, so let's leave that aside.

I believe she just didn't know any better. They don't teach american history in european schools. All i know about it, came from watching youtube videos (that are of course in english).

cultural appropriation is on my list of the most idiotic things there are. The left isn't even realizing that at this point they shake hands with the ultra-right. If no-one is able to do, wear, eat or enjoy in any other way something of a different culture, than this means they want to separate all cultures to keep them "clean". What a silly vision of the world.

pretty sure she doesn't know what it means.. heck even I didn't know until last year... we can't be aware of all things. And believe me that literally no Eastern European would wear it for supporting the confederate state, because most people aren't even aware of it, and I'm speaking this for Slovenia, which is almost a Western country, I can't imagine a Russian supporting it..

I agree but if I was an artist I would probably do my homework about this thing honestly, it carries similar emotional values with the Nazi flag and everyone knows better than wearing a shirt with that flag. But yeah, unless you educate yourself about the matter, you can be pretty ignorant to the damage it causes.

Of course, we don't know whether she knew about the flag's symbolism nowadays or not but I think the same.. it's like these "little woke kids" wearing Che Guevara shirts.
