Re: Balearica Island breaks daylight

Tina Maze qualified to the NSC final, while racing in the World Cup. What a multi talent. :D Thanks again to everyone who voted for her, especially Luxona and Zaprya for the 12s. :D

For NSC 118, I was originally considering sending a new Anders Nilsen song, but since AronChupa won, I decided not to. Might be seen as an attempt to scorewhore. :p So instead, I'm sending an artist which has something in common with Tina Maze. Jan Gunnar Solli played for Vålerenga, my favorite Norwegian football team, in 2013. While doing that, he also released the song which will be our next entry. DJ Solli currently plays for Hammarby in Sweden, and is also still producing house music. :)

Re: Balearica Island is coming at you strong

Unsurprisingly, Breaking Daylight wasn't a hit in NSC, and finished 22nd in the semi final...

Since then, ::bal has also taken part in a spinoff, the ESC National Final spinoff, with New Level Empire - The Last One. I had higher hopes for this one, and with only 14 entries, I was really hoping for at least a top 10 finish. It finished 12th. :p

A video from A Dal (Hungarian NF) was used in the spinoff, but here's the official video for it:

NSC moves on tho, and for NSC 119 I've eventually decided to go hardcore again. :D

Re: Balearica Island is dangerous

A new edition, and here is our next entry. David Guetta feat. Sam Martin - Dangerous. :D

As a motorsports fan, I really love this video. ;)

I'm going with the radio edit for NSC 120, but a longer version of this video also exists, and here it is:

Re: Balearica Island is dangerous

I thought this would be your entry as soon as I saw the title. I'm not a huge fan of most of dance music but there's a majority of dance songs I like, this is one of them. Good luck from a WL nation! ;)

Thanks. :D

Wondering how it'll do, this is the 13th David Guetta song in NSC. And I honestly didn't think I would send one of his songs, but when I saw the video, I knew immediately that I had to have this song on my entry list. It's not as dancey as his other songs tho, but there are some really good parts in it. :) Just hoping I was the first to confirm it, I have a feeling I might not be the only one who wants to send this... :p

Wikipedia says it's electropop and funktronica. Haven't you ever danced to a funk song in a club? Hmmmmm...? :D

I don't think I have, no. I have danced to electro house tho, and when David Guetta played in Trondheim a few years ago, I had huge problems standing still. :D He didn't play Dangerous tho, for some reason. :p

Re: Balearica Island on a moving train

So Dangerous didn't qualify, unfortunately. But we continue on our journey in the world of music, and the next entry is definitely different. It's a genre we've never sent before, with artists from India, a new country when it comes to entries from Balearica Island. Altho, I suspect that many of the people behind Kaliyuga (Engine-EarZ Experiment) are either Indian or of Indian descent. But where Kaliyuga had elements from both India and western electronic music, our next entry is 100% Indian. The video lists Shahrukh "King" Khan and Malaika Arora as the performers, but they're actually actors from the movie "Dil Se...". The actual artists performing the song are Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi. This song has been on our list of potential entries for a few years, and now I figured it was finally time to let it represent us. So our next entry is Sukhwinder Singh & Sapna Awasthi - Chaiyya Chaiyya:

Also, we've participated in a new spinoff since the last time you heard from us. Our entry was Minimalistix - Struggle For Pleasure, but the Unfair Host from Anselmsmumonia took away some points from us, and it finished 12th (which is actually better than the result we had before the points got shuffled around).

Re: Balearica Island will see you again

A new edition coming up, and again it's going to be a song that you wouldn't automatically assume was a Balearica Island entry. I had plans for a house track, but during NSC 121, Fast & Furious 7 happened, and a tribute song to Paul Walker came. Those who read why I chose my entry for the Short But Sweet spinoff know that the death of Paul Walker was hard for me, and now I'm taking it to the actual NSC. I could have gone with a trance bootleg remix made by Arnej, but I decided to go with the original this time. The bootleg remix will also be posted here tho. So the next entry from ::bal is Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - See You Again:

And here is the remix:

R.I.P. Paul.

Re: Balearica Island will be a superhero

A new edition is coming up, and the next entry will be more Balearican than the last 2 entries. To put it short, I've been a fan of DJ Juicy M for a while, so the next entry is Spencer Tarring & Juicy M - Superhero:
