I have read from people who are at the concert, she's singing live with the help of a very obvious playback track. I guess this is the only the way to go FOR NOW without having further scrutiny on her voice. She needs to work hard and I mean really hard.

If shes singing completely live ( coz people in the comments say she was singing over the pre-recorded version ), I hear already an improvement. Still strained at parts, that coach should protect her from damaging her chords.
It surprises me that Lumix is apparently a big star in Austria but chose a girl without experience at all for this?

It is much better. There are some issues left that can be fixed through coaching. I'm confident that Pele Loriano and Monika Ballwein can fix this til May.

This is new territory for him. Normally he doesn't produce mainly vocally driven tracks. Don't forget, he is only 19 years old, not much older than Pia.
For Eurovision standards the backing vocal track is heavily processed, but it is nothing compared to his usually productions where apparently the Chipmunks sing.

I managed to find a video from the whole performance on youtube and it seems like they already lowered the key, though I'm not too sure. She sung much better this time, even if she wasn't perfect cause she doesn't really need to for this kind of song and it seemed like she didn't sing some lines before the lalala so that she wouldn't be out of breath.

Well if she sounds like this, I think the staging will be the only think to really worry about.

Usually they dont give hints on the staging. Especially this year they want to keep everything top secret it seems. Are you sure that there will be a performance at Starmania? Eberhard Forcher was asked that question two or three weeks ago and he did not clearly answer yes or no. At least they could use their studio for rehearsals.

Well, first and foremost they need to fix her mentally. Paenda was clearly shivering on the stage, and I fear worse for Pia Maria.

If she gets background singers, I guess we won't have dancers, which is a pity. I would have loved to see the vogueing breakdown.

Still, I think ANGER with Das Meer would have gotten us nowhere. This song is too drowzy and monotous.

On the bright side, Blanche was written off directly after her first rehearsal with zero points in the press voting. And she recovered from that in a few reprises.

I actually think that she is mentally pretty strong. I've briefly interviewed them at the song presentation and she seemed quite confident without being arrogant, said she can only give her best but shes super excited. No signs of "oh f*** what am i getting myself into"
So yea i hope she can dust the israel desaster off quickly

And about the upcoming performance at starmania: i wouldnt be surprised if they go full Playback again (i think joshs Performance last week was full Playback aswell)

The ORF will not let this opportunity pass by simply because they have full control there. They also have their tiktok channel where they can promote it. Playback is possible. I think the opening number of the first show was also lip synch but well executed.

France and Albania were always neck and neck and I would be more than happy to see us in the Top 10. But I don't think we can land before Poland.

Poland is my absolute darkhorse this year: great song, amazing voice, handsome singer, jury bait and tons of televotes

reminds me of 2018, when we dropped to #20 after the jury final. I think the odds for jury winner were around 250; I am still angry at myself that I didn't take it.

The scoreboard is not and never will be an indicator

It is not insofar, as it just sums up points and does not group by country of voters for example, or does not exclude votes for one's own country. But I would say it is an indicator for televote potential (with emphasis on potential).

we all know for example that Albania is not going to do so well.

If I have learned anything over the last years regarding Eurovision, it's that I don't know anything. Everybody is still at 0 points.
