I didn't want to be rude. I just don't understand why is he wearing clothes for women? Maybe he is such a bad artist who is trying to get attention by dressing as a woman

Because it's nearly 2014 and by now being trans is socially acceptable.

she is not a trans, he and 'a gay singer who wanted to create a character in here to talk about, among other trans people are not at all happy to be mock, and also has a great voice, he has a very strained voice.

Wait... Was Conchita selected? I didn't follow this thread.

If so, I really hope it won't be another cheap entry.

PMSL ive never seen such hypocrisy. They appose an act like Conchita for how he dresses and fear it will basically brainwash their children - but they have no issue with female performers wearing next to nothing, flinging themselves all over the stage in provocative ways? That application to ban Conchita just makes me laugh.

Is this Saudi Arabia or what? Why are we alway looking down at hot females that are comfortable in their own skin and not afraid to shake what God gave them? xshrug

As for their opposition to Conchita, everyone against that silly act are my friends (no matter the reason)

The point is the double standard Russia is putting on display. It's okay for a female to dry hump onstage but then they refer to sodomy when Conchita Wurst is onstage when she didn't do anything but stand and sing in a dress.

I'm not saying i have an issue with it, I was simply pointing out that they're against Conchita but are happy enough to watch provocative dancing from singers wearing next to nothing.

What's wrong with females "dry humping" stuff?? Anyways, I've yet to see anything like that though in ESC... but then again people seem to be very prude when it comes to females performing in general (which imo is more strange than some reacting at a bearded lady act ).

Who's "she"? Tom acting as a bearded lady on stage for attention?

Provocative? I guess we need to force female singers to wear burqas from now on

Is there something conservatives (not only from Russia) are not against anyway?
Every year, we have this kind of pointless articles. It's certainly not worth making a big deal out of it.

I wonder what the reaction in the US would be if Conchita were to sing at the Superbowl.

Bingo! But yeah... of course "Russia is the bad guy"... western hypocrisy and double standards aside (we already have atleast two "westerners" in here being "provoked" by females that aren't covered up and dances on stage which would make certain long-bearded guys in parts of the world applaud them )

It really depends on the outfit (or the lack of it), a women can be sexy without being provocative.

I guess that's what AshleyWright means, women don't need to wear burqas but they're not obliged to show everything they have in store either.

Dressing in a more subtle way is better.

I don't get how anyone can get "provoked" by a dancing woman showing some nice pair of legs?... I mean it's hardly anything pervert or porn-ish we've seen on ESC stage?... or maybe I'm just not as prude and easily "provoked" xshrug

and again the double standards... I mean so far the least dressed we got were Svitlana Loboda's dancers (all male)... but everyone are focusing on all these God forbid "provocative" ladies... xshrug

I guess it all depends on the type of entry, I mean an uptempo dancy booty shaker obviously would look odd with more "subtle" ways (= conservative solutions).

You're twisting what I'm saying and putting words in my mouth. I was just presenting the double standards in Russia. xshrug God sake, chill out. xfacepalm you're acting like I want woman to walk about on stage covered head to toe when that is not the case.

Relax, I was just being sarcastic ;)

But people are mentioning it like we SHOULD be "provoked" by these dancing booty shaking ladies and that I don't get... I love it, I'd love for more people to be half-naked on the ESC stage... both men and women
