This is slightly underwhelming coming from Australia. I thought they could deliver something stronger. Now they jump the hype train of rock songs and give us nothing. I cringed at the human "touch!" part, why is he squealing it out like this? It feels very disingenuous and fabricated for people with basic taste. Lyrics are lame. The guitar solo towards the end is cool, so I can give at least 4 points.

Produced by DNA. I really feel like this was the song probably lined up, and they went with Voyager instead.

Voyager have said that their was initial plans for another Aus Decides and they were contacted to submit a song and then they were randomly told little while after they were being selected once they submitted Promise. Also DNA produced another song for Charley that was released a week ago, I definitely feel like that Voyager, Ricki Lee & Charley were part of the scrapped line up for Aus Decides this year.

I have a feeling that Australia will NQ this year. I know they're in that less competitive semifinal but I don't see enough televotes for it. And Australia has historically relied more on jury points and there are no juries in the semis this year.

So unexpected for me this isn't really as favored by the fandom as I was thinking. I also feel another NQ could be in the cards given tellyvote has never been australias strenght. And yes, Ricki-Lees song sounds like your ordinary Melfest-ballad. Would've been DOA.

Australia would still have qualified every year that they have besides 2017 without the Juries. Also, it is a good high energy song with a catchy chorus and it is last in the running order of the weaker semi. I do not see the world in which Australia doesn't qualify,

i’d love to see Ricki Lee at Eurovision one day!! i think she was supposed to go in 2018 as they were going for an artist signed with Universal, but then Sony came with a better offer and offered Jess

There’s no doubt they generally struggle in the final with tele but yeah only Isiah has made the final because of the juries

Isaiah really shouldn't have qualified, the song was dull and like a bad rip-off of something from Adele. And there was also his singing ... (but certainly his singing was better at Juries show). This was a qualifier that made me mad.

Isaiah was great in the grand final though. In that year with not so many great vocalists he was definitely one of the better. Yeah he wasn’t at his best but his GF vocals were good. What ultimately tanked the entry was the staging that could’ve been better executed

So Ricki Lee was going to Australia Decides or just the song was meant for Australia Decides??
