Isaiah was great in the grand final though. In that year with not so many great vocalists he was definitely one of the better. Yeah he wasn’t at his best but his GF vocals were good. What ultimately tanked the entry was the staging that could’ve been better executed

So Ricki Lee was going to Australia Decides or just the song was meant for Australia Decides??
She was going to submit it for Australia Decides.

We could as well just have another Australia Decides just so there could be space for a Voyager interval act and an AusDecides trophy handover xheart
based on the fact that Blas Canto handed over the Benidorm Fest trophy on its first year instead of the hosts; yes, handing a trophy over to the next person is plausible without there being a NF to having been won

Australia Decides was mostly awful with a few stand-out songs (didirri, jaguar jonze, montagine, charley and that's it)

Australia needs to start selecting its biggest artists again. I'm really disappointed that they sent Voyager this year, not that their bad but very mid and it looks like Australia isn't even trying anymore.

Well if they wouldn't end up being sent at some point they would have begged SBS forever and ever on, and maybe SBS just wants to avoid that for now so they let the band have their moment... maybe after THEN we'll see some of Australia's "greats" some more again :)

Every year I hope to get something at least as good as „Tonight again“. Well perhaps next year….

I enjoy the powerful ending, but the earlier parts of the song are not that distinguished. 7 points.

Hey all. I want to play a game. Only because the song made me think: what have you done before that "if you haven't done this before, then you haven't been alive". I want it t0 be fun, so it could be truthful, not true, a combination; or nobody knows?

I'd post to get get the party started, but I've already had a bottle of fine pinot noir, so I'll be more truthful than I should be right now. Anyone else want to kick us off?

Nice to see them using the Tourism WA footage in the Madrid pre-party performance, but there needs to be a better connection between those visuals and the futuristic neon visuals to tie everything together better.

I'm close friends with the UK sales rep for Tourism WA and she has been posting about filming all the footage with the band for the music video and extra footage for promo material, so I can only assume they'll be using it for Eurovision in some respect xup

Oh hi, a fellow Simon! Sorry that your game hasn‘t taken off yet, I actually quite like the idea. I am afraid I am not the most creative when it comes to this, but I did feel that a very special moment in my life was hiking up and consequently spending the night on a(n extinct) volcano and being woken up by the (small) eruption of the active volcano right next to it. It felt so surreal.

Today this song is part of the songchecks at ESC kompakt. Here for everyone who speaks German:

The bloggers reactions are more on the mediocre side.

The live performances have been great, the lead is great vocally. I mean some choreography etc could tighten things up. But I'm glad this will least do well in the semi, I think top three is given. Now the final, to me at best this could match Sheldon (which I doubt they won't have his jury support) or perform about the same as Jess or worse (which I think is most likely). Still this band have no support from SBS, are getting all their funding from WA's state government and they're going to most likely win their semi, that is fantastic. I really need SBS to confirm we're still participating, the fact that we can put through a competitve entry with very little effort is impressive.

Awesome interview! Danny talking 30 minutes in German, he‘s such a humble guy and a huge ESC fan! He has so much knowledge about ESC, he grew up with his parents listening to ESC when he was a kid and he attended ESC 2019 as a fan, two weeks of parties for him.

And he confirmed that this is Australia‘s last year in Eurovision (for now) - he also confirmed there is a contract that lasts until 2023. He doesn’t know if it will be renewed.
They asked him if it depends on Australia‘s success at Eurovision this year but he didn’t know - he said we should better vote for Australia‘s 12 points in case it does! ;)

Sounds like he knows as much of us lol. It will all depend on Paul Clarke or that Emily I don't know her surname and what they say in May when they're doing interviews.
