Synths combined with rock? Yeah this is going straight to the top of the list for me. Idk what else to say really. The song never gets boring, it uses the 3 minutes well, and always puts a smile on my face. Not an amazing song, but certainly great.

Final score: :10: points

this sounds like SJB took in Australia as one of her sidejobs to do nothing interesting with it, each and every one of those times. and her heart was the most in whatever was better in her year

I think SBS went for SJB to execute their ideas since she's a "safe" bet and it's way too expensive for them to bring directors and props from Australia (Kate had to crowdfund her entry lol). Then SJB is inconsistent as hell and gave Isaiah a staging that was never going to attract the televoters and Jessica a poor staging in a year I thought Australia would've had an advantage since there were no LEDs.

I also believe Isaiah and Jess were more reliant on a good staging than let's say Guy, Dami and Kate since Isaiah was inexperienced and Jess a nervewreck whenever she doesn't the momentum to really shine through. Yeah, I'd say Guy, Dami and Kate elevated their performances live but they definitely didn't get stagings that completely tanked their chances.

If SBS continues in Eurovision beyond this year, I really wonder how they plan to fund it since some Aussies here have pointed out that Voyager is doing everything this year with the help of WA

If I‘m not mistaken there‘s always been a pool of a few stage designers, mostly the same every year, so it’s not that the artists have much of a choice.

I'm not worried about Australia funding future entrants, SBS only pays the participation fees etc. It's always been up to the act and their label or connections to fund it themselves. For example if they go Ricki Lee next year she's on one of the top rated national radios shows in the country I could see her getting some assistance from Austero and using Eurovision to cross promote. Even as bare bones as SBS is compared to a lot of the main broadcaster's in Australia, I'd say it's still more resourced than a lot of broadcasters in the EBU currently participating lol. It just come down to if SBS still want to lol.

If the song was better we would actually have a shot in the final. They've done everything they can, just the song is still not strong lol
