Firstly, my thoughts and prayers go out to the multiple people with Dami Im profile pictures on Twitter (what the hell was I doing there) I unfortunately eyed predicting the massive guaranteed semi flop that was coming Australia's way for not picking the artist they wanted.

Now, what can I say? I'm just so super thrilled for Australia and Voyager. I became a fan of the band after Dreamer. The pain last year when missing out on what could have become my favourite Eurovision entry ever was massive. To have the band immediately come back, internally selected was a treat in itself. The performance last night was everything I wanted. Such energy, such passion... even very sultry in parts xLO Daniel is just such an incredibly charismatic front man and I adore Alex too.. well, all of them. Fantabulous band and their genuine passion for Eurovision shines through. So joyous and glittery. I'll be reserving at least 10 of my 20 votes for Australia in the final. That's a promise.

Mr Clarke says that Aussies are keen to stay in the game.

"Of course we want to go on! Who wouldn't want to be part of the biggest music party on the planet?" he said.

"It's impossible to walk away from. It touches your heart in a way that is totally surprising but extraordinary."

I really really really hope Australia will be back next year no matter their result in the GF. I‘m one of those who is absolutely thrilled to have Australia in the competition (unlike those moaners who say Australia is not part of Europe, sob sob).

So good luck anyway, :au: is one of two songs I‘m gonna vote for in the final!

Australia has been one of the highlights of the 2nd semi, really enjoyed the staging and live performance. I've not been a big fan of Australia when they debuted (songs-wise), but they've really turned things around lately. xheat

Good interview with the creative director for Australia, Paul Clarke.

Definitely seems like Australia wants to continue.

He also confirms that Australia Decide was scrapped this year due to funding.

Still not a fan of the song but the performance definitely lifted everything to a whole new level. Really curious to see how it will do tomorrow.

I'm afraid they will get lost in the final, contrary to semifinal. In the Grand Final recaps i saw on the internet :au: felt out of place to me.

I think this will do worse than Jess. We won't have jury support and even though it's a killer performance I don't see this performing strong with the televote. They should be proud though they've done an amazing job.

People who like this genre of music and watch with their families may not usually bother to vote because the pop songs aren't to their taste, so perhaps with Australia and Germany this year they will have something to vote for.

Yeah, what a well done performance. Top 10 would be an amazing result, but I'm thinking it will perhaps finish around 15th place or so

Wow. What an incredible performance and what a great result! Too bad about the televote but… 9th place was good!

Top Ten! They honestly deserved the spot, they absolutely killed every single performance. I wish the televote wasn't so harsh, but I'll take top ten :)

I think the televote score should’ve been strong enough to at least beat out Belgium…

I agree, that televote makes no sense. They were one of the best performers of the night, easiest one of the strongest vocals as well.
I keep saying it, but outside of a musical academy, nobody cares that they have 3 lead singers, all great support in their whole range, good stage props, good presentation. Eurovision likes more "extravagant" rock songs. You need to go extra in your genre to do well. Highway (The Real Thing) is good example of this. Just be proud they rocked the building ;)
