Do you reckon SBS don't want to keep participating anymore. I feel like we can stay in the contest as long as we want to but I just get the feeling SBS don't want to anymore?

I think they just struggle with the funds and the ratings aren’t that great either. But yeah, I don’t sense the same enthusiasm anymore. Covid took its toll on SBS imo as I barely remember any coverage of Sheldon and Montaigne was just thrown completely under the bus.

This entry is fantastic! What are you talking about? One of the best voices in the competition too, which you don’t often get with a metal/rock song.

The staging and stage presence will rock. I hope they use a lot of blue and yellow in solidarity with Ukraine like they did in the national final last year.

I can’t speak for SBS, but I think the Australian public are more into it than ever! Blame Queensland for making everyone sit down at the national final last year!

SBS has been the home of Eurovision in Australia for 40 years this year.

Also, I don’t know if the Tele voting system fucked up last year, but they couldn’t cope with the number of votes. That should say something?

give him a break, he's been in Australia for like around 30 years of his life, of course the skills might be a little rusty

After a long time of average Australian songs, this one caught my attention again, but I have to admit that the excitement at the first listen, it stayed the same, the song didn't grow on me, I'm counting on a live performance.

Thinking about some of the songs that have been popular in recent years, if Australia had been in the competition in the 1980s we could have won with Joe Dolce's Shaddup You Face

Normally I dislike Australia's entries, haven't been impressed with their songs and found some entries a bit on the gimmicky side. However I am really pleasantly surprised by this year's entry. A good solid track and the band look like they're really enjoying themselves and are in the spirit of Eurovision, being prior fans of the contest.

The live performance will so make it or break it for me personally - whether or not it comes across as your local band playing at the pub next door or just a professional and well-done performance, because I got both vibes from their AD performance.

The final minute or so is pretty good (pity the chorus of the song isn't better tbh), and it leaves room for some great staging. Such as Simone's guitar solo (Sam Ryder adding the guitar solo in his performance last year remains one of my favorite moments from last year). I think they should just copy a little bit of "Smash Into the Pieces" staging for the chorus but have some nice sceneries like in their music video as well.

I'm gonna bump this one up to an 8 from a previous 7 and give the hopefully good live performance the benefit of the doubt!

Considering they're getting some funding from tourism Western Australia and the Western Australian state government, they should be able to have some decent staging. Again probably not a huge amount of funding but still more then a lot of the countries this year so I'm hoping this has some staging and is not just a rock band performance like their Aus Decides performance.

Last in the running order so perhaps the staging will be amazing xthink

This is definitely coming top 3 in the Semifinal, they were a sure qualifier to begin with and now they are closing the show. I could see this winning their Semifinal, as Armenia has been given a terrible spot and georgia's slot isn't that great either.

Not just a rock band performance? The staging to Dreamer was great imo, swift camerawork, cool slow-motion effects, intensive light show and fantastic energy from everyone especially the guitarists. I've watched it so many times, more than listening to the studio version actually.
