I'm getting tired of women being fixed in enormous mountain-like dresses.
The song itself is somewhat intriguing... so many different elements. Normally I don't like this pastiche-technique, but in this case it has something. I'm not sure how this will develop in my ranking. For the moment it's one of the songs I like to relisten to.

This is going to sound so narrow-minded of me but this barely is a song in my ears

I do not like this song, the chorus is a little irritating to me, I love opera, I loved Estonia 2018, but here it is not performed well. I'm mainly worried about the man hanging in the air. I hope there will not be an accident in Israel ... I give it 2

Just waiting for juries to give this good points. Nothing against Australia, but this doesn't deserve good points. Just too simple song.

I think it will do better in the televote than the jury.

Okay, so this is just weird, and not afraid to admit it. I like that they're not going with another polished mainstream act. But i see some problems. The swinging pole obviously isn't going to Eurovision - not that they couldn't do it, i just don't think they will - and they'll probably change the dress for something else entirely too.

But most importantly, what is even supposed to be the hook of this song? Is there a chorus at all? They'll have to make some changes to make the structure of the song clearer, as now it seems kind of inside-out with no real build-up to the climax and whatever. Curious what this will turn out like, and how it will score, but i doubt it'll be among my top favorites, there's just not enough substance with the weirdness (and obviously excellent vocals) to hit my G-spot.

I still don't know how to feel about this song. I don't hate it at all, some parts of the song are good but I don't like how the "nothing holding me down" part lasts for so long.

6 points for now.

No. Just... no.

I mean: weird structure, the vocals are a mess, barely has a rhytm...

...ten years ago? Perhaps, but honestly? This is by far the worst song Australia has sent, the worst song so far (the only one I actually truly dislike).

1 point for originality... I guess? Besides that? No.

It's like it can't decide whether it wants to be Estonia 2018, Sweden 2009, a dance act, a circus act or the White Queen from Narnia  Definitely the worst entry from Australia so far :(

2 points for Australia :au:

Thanks. So we have the Same Problem like in France that Juries can give only 50 to the Winner and the Televoter have too much power. Not that it matters but...

Just on this... I'm not sure how our voting system worked exactly, but doing some quick maths I can see that the juries gave a total of 290 points...

290 = 58 x 5 = (12+10+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1) x 5

The televote numbers add up to 295... So my best guess would be that they were given proportionally and "rounded up".

That would also explain why the televotes had a wider spread than the jury votes.

In either case, Kate came out ahead in both votes, but took out the televote a little more convincingly (29.5% of televote points compared to 23.7%).

Is there a chorus at all?

I'm curious... What did you think the "Ze-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ro..." section was, if it wasn't a chorus? It's the most instantly-recognisable section of the song and the lyric is literally the title of the song...
