Adrian Lulgjuraj thinks he's singing a more interesting song than this.

Songs 2 and 5 were wicked. 1, 3, and 4 were flawed but not bad. Song 6 was awful and I never want to hear it again. xheart

Re: ALBANIA 2016

I thought Orgesa Zaimi was the clear standout of this semi. The song sounded interesting and unexpected after everything that came before it and her presence and vocals were strong. Teuta Kurti (the lady who looked like a Disney villain) was awesome - I don't remember anything about her performance but flashing lights, high notes and everything but the kitchen sink, I just remember it was a lot of fun while I was watching it

Erga Halilaj's performance dragged a bit and has fallen behind for me. Same with Luiz Ejlli, I got an epic fantasy battle vibe from his song when I listened to the studio version, but it didn't have that much impact just then.

Asaj was lazy and sloppy. I'll be surprised if that even goes through to the final. My mom came in and asked me how FiK was going while the very confused, half-asleep man near the end was performing, and I think she's disappointed in what I'm doing with my spare time now.

Re: ALBANIA 2016

Just caught up with the performances from tonight. Three standouts for me:

Aslajdon Zaimaj - Merrmë që sot I think this might just be my favourite tonight. The Festivali i kenges orchestra are all kinds of awesome. This song is example number 2 (following on from Lindita Halimi's epic performance last year) of super fast pieces of pop working with live music. Whilst not quite "S’të fal" levels of craziness, it's for sure brilliant, kicking the stuffing out of the other drum n bass pop we've had at Eurovision. The song is exciting, packs a lot in and Aslajdon owns it plus he's hot xheat

Erga Halilaj - Monolog This one is pretty damn good. Love the sultry lounge vibes of the verses and the chorus is nice as well. Erga captivates me.

Teuta Kurti - Në sytë e mi I was unsure on this song when I originally listened to it a couple of weeks back. It's really come alive for me with the orchestra and experiencing Teuta perform it live. For some reason I can imagine Kaliopi singing this.

Re: ALBANIA 2016

Firstly i thought the stage and show was superb.Albania deserve all credit for always serving us up a treat.

Teuta Kurti - Në sytë e mi
I must admit im quite upset this year over this song.I rate Teuta as a real genuine talent who would of walked this years Fik with a great song. The one she has simply isnt good enough or what she deserves. She was superb in its delivery though and lifted it and that might keep her in the game to win still. Then they can change the song.

Nilsa Hysi - Asaj
I loved this.It was was very basic and almost lethargic through the first verse, yet mesmerising. Then the bridge and Nilsa's melancholy came out fighting, lifting the chorus to wonderfull uplands. The second verse holds you tight again giving the release of the second chorus bite.Young talent show winners seem to avoid D-Minor like the plague, but Nilsa showed how its done right.Challenging the win for me.

I just saw the live performance of Asaj and I have to admit that, on the first sight, I wasn't so enthusiastic with this song, but goddam this girl CAN SING !

My new favorite along with Besa !

My four favorites yesterday were Egon Pireci, Adrian Lulgjuraj, Florent Abrashi and Kozma Dushi. I hope at least two of them will make it to the final :-)

Re: ALBANIA 2016

Just listened through to them all. Only one I disliked (Prodani; it just went on and on and on...), but a large number of songs which just came and went without making me feel anything. Two real standouts for me:

"Monolog": This grabbed me from the beginning. The chorus is especially brilliant, but I really enjoyed her performance and the song.

"Në sytë e mi": I thought "Monolog" was good, but once this got going, I was even more impressed by this. The second half is just amazing and this is my favourite of the night!
