Not wanting to dance anymore, but I must dance
Re: ALBANIA 2016

I'm excited to see what Adrian Lulgjuraj and Luiz Ejlli's entries will sound like, I loved both of their ESC entries! :D

Re: ALBANIA 2016

I don't think Christmas is quite as big a deal in Albania. It was banned (along with all other religious practices) under the communists. Plus, only about one in six people are Christian.

Oh yes I know that, I just thought that maybe they would try to appeal foreigners instead it's obvious nobody alongside Albania watches FIK so, well, nevermind my question.

^ usually it's among the 1st NFs & I'm always hungry for ESC season
Never treated MF as something special. Not any single selection keeps being awesome every year but with such money & technologies they have... my demands for MF are "a little bit" higher.

I'm an MF fan myself, but I definitely get what you mean about no selection being great every year. I've only been watching NFs for a few years, but I think Denmark would have to be my top example - they had about five songs I loved in 2013, yet I haven't really liked a single one of their NF entries in the last couple years. Definitely variable quality.

Re: ALBANIA 2016

Klodian Kaçani & Rezarta Smaja are interesting.”Love to Eternity” though as a song title does make you worry its a sickly ballad that could flop.Worries will be less if Klodian Qafoku has wrote the song.Fine line to get right a duet, but they have the talent.I always thought Rezarta would win a FiK at some point.Lindi Islami and Aslajdon Zaimaj are probably the strongest ex talent show artists here.Would be down to song and producers wishes to split them.

One who also really interests me is Teuta Kurti. She came through around the time of Rona Nishliu, but went away for a few years to have her family. She was superb in this years Top Fest 12 for her return. If Threedots production are involved in her song i expect her to do well. She might just be re-igniting her career though rather than trying to win,but i think alongside Rezarta is easily the most talented in this years Fik.

I cant see past these unless someone else has the killer song and/or the producers have their eyes on someone behind closed doors.Very good quality selection with some poor x factor/voice filler acts.

Re: ALBANIA 2016

I know that some people prefer the more traditional, concert like atmosphere of FiK, but there was an article on Wiwi today about having Kenga Magjike as a selection festival, and to me, it does sound like an interesting idea. I woudn´t mind seeing it as a NF concept (as long as they are all singing live).

I remember watching few songs performed on Kenga Magjike, and I was simply surprised by the visuals and the whole show atmosphere that they produce.

I´m sure that it would definitely attract more viewers from Albania and from outside.

This performance has in particular caught my attention.

Great voice. xmusic

I still think Ardian Bujupi would be great for Albania. Last time he just had a crap song. But this for instance is just great!

Oh my holy goodness, gosh... can't even breathe for that Rezarta Smaja and Klodian Kaçani duet. I was so worried when I read Rezarta would be doing a duet this year as they usually repel me. I wanted her solo. This song though is outstanding. An outrageously strong power ballad. It's making the hairs on my neck stand on end. I was getting so excited I just knocked my bottle of water off the table (true story). It's just such an overwhelming piece of music. Rezarta's voice is a true force of nature. I just got slayed.

I retroactively like "Me Ty" after hearing the Rezarta/Klodian duet. No words.

I'll do a full ranking post later, but for now:
1. Dashuri në përjetsi: Winner of FiK, winner of ESC, winner of life.
2. Everything else: who cares it's not "Dashuri në Përjetsi"

Haven't had time to listen to all of them, but I agree, Dashuri në përjetsi is really good.
I also liked the song of Luiz Ejlli, though

I wish we could have Ronela, the singer who made Albanians think ISIS were in Albania when she was shooting a music video xheat

Re: ALBANIA 2016

OK, so it's pretty good. My mind isn't quite in Eurovision mode yet so I'll need a couple more listens, but very promising.

Re: ALBANIA 2016

I listened to half the songs yesterday evening and the rest this morning. Here's what I think about them. I perhaps was a bit too kind with a lot of them but it's a nice selection of songs from Albania once again, and I cannot wait to hear some of these come alive with the Orchestra. The only thing this selection is missing is a sizzling hot pop song that's Lindita Halimi levels of hot sauce.

Rezarta-fricking-Smaja levels of Awesome

xbowRezarta Smaja & Klodian Kaçani - Dashuri në përjetësixheart Slay me Rezarta Smaja and this man who compliments your awe-inspiring voice extremely well. My delicate little tinnitus riddled ears are going to get musically harassed by this and probably fall off but I don't care. I'm gonna spam this non stop with the volume loud.

Awesome

Kristi Popa - Ajo çfarë ndjej - This one goes to quite some unexpected places. Difficult to follow but I really like it!
Evans Rama - Flakë - Super catchy.
Eneda Tarifa - Përrallë - I wasn't expecting the chorus this song was packing.
Erga Halilaj - Monolog - This has got something about it I like. I enjoyed it more and more as the song grew bigger.
Genc Tukiçi - Sa të dashuroj - Wonderfully charming and different to everything else here.
Jozefina Simoni - Një det me ty - xheat
Kozma Dushi - Një kafe Cheesy but i'd be a big fat liar if I didn't say I enjoyed the hell out of it:lol: The music is so over the top.
Voltan Prodani - Dëgjoje këngën O ATË! Has the best build of all the songs here. Half way through I had plonked it in the "Pretty good" pile, but by the end I was really into it.

Pretty good

Aslajdon Zaimaj - Merrmë që sot - This one will probably do well. Feels contemporary.
Klajdi Musabelliu - Ndodhë edhe kështu
Renis Gjoka - Ato që s’ti them dotë
Egert Pano - Mos ik
Revolt Klan - Dashurinë s’e gjejmë dot
Grupi “Simbol” - Artiste
Jozefina Simoni - Një det me ty - Interesting. This could grow if I give it time. In fact....
Luis Ejlli - Pa mbarim That flute (or whatever it is) is slaying me but the rest of the song not quite as much. Another possible grower.
Orgesa Zaimi - Një shishe në oqean - Has a French circus feel to it...... if that description makes any sense at allxshifty

Undecided

Egzon Pireci - Triumf - Musically it's not bad and is quite promising. Something is not clicking with me though and I can't work out quite what.
Enxhi Nasufi - Infinit - This one I really can't work out my feelings for. I was going to put it in the "Not Feeling" section because i'm really not feeling it, but it's one of the finest produced songs and sounds like the one that could do very well for Albania.
Flaka Krelani - S’je për mu - I'll need to hear this one live to work out my true feelings. The music is alright but for an electronic pop song it's not very exciting, although she's certainly giving it good vocally.
Florent Abrashi - Të ndjek çdo hap - Great vocals but the song feels a bit beige. I won't discard of it just yet though.
Sigi Bastri - Ëngjëll I lirë - This is missing something to reel me in at the moment.
Teuta Kurti - Në sytë e mi - Don't know if I like or hate this. The song doesn't feel anything special at all but her vocals are certainly something.

Average

Adrian Lulgjuraj - Jeto dhe ëndërro - His Eurovision song destroys this. I find this new one sadly quite dull until the bridge but it's not enough to save it i'm afraid.
Besa Krasniqi - Liroje zemrën
Lindi Islami - Për një mrekulli

Not feeling

Andi Tanko - Dielli vazhdon të më ngrohë
Dilan Reka - Buzëqesh
Nilsa Hysi - Asaj - This looks a popular pick already with the most views and likes on youtube but sounds far too typical a pop song for me. Heard it 8 gazillion times already and it does nothing for me. Knowing my luck it will be the winner.
