Aaaaaa, one hour to wait!! I almost forgot about Albania having its semifinal this week, I should put the alarm or something. I don't know how it was yesterday, but what I know is that Albania has decent songs usually (ok, apart from their entry from 2016). I don't have any big expectations, especially with ESC (this contest always makes sure to cut off my wings), but I hope for something reasonable.

I have an outrageous and blasphemous confession....



I wouldn't mind if Aslajdon Zaimaj's "Merrmë që sot" won over Rezarta Smaja Forgive me. Rezarta is my favourite Albanian singer and she has a brilliant song, but i'm just so pumped for Aslajdon's performance. He's so commanding on stage. I just can't stop watching it. Clear highlight of the first semi for me. Fresh but so typically Albanian as well with everything thrown in, including wild string breakdowns and rock out moments with their beloved electric guitar.

So looking forward to Rezarta & Klodian tonight though. I'm still selfishly sad we don't get Rezarta all to ourselves. Klodian is great and i've accepted the duet (even though typically i'm not into duets) but there is just something at the back of my mind telling me i'm not 100% happy still about this. Also their song is something I fear will be changed if it wins.
