Am I the only one who noticed that the brother of Genti Lako ( the writer and composer of the song) Bojken Lako was in the jury?

Yikes xshock1xfacepalm

How many people were on the jury and what was the result from them, does it make a big difference if you take him out?

He was the last one to vote 12 points. She had won before that, but his facial expression was priceless. Also he could have influenced the jury

I would bet mine a*s the winner is fixed beforehand every year. No broadcaster or organiser would be so silly to let a handful of dodderers decide the winner of their own free wills.

Could be. Usually the same songs always win. Women always have uptempo songs while men have weird ballads :D

Basing how the rest of jury was like, I doubt it - they didn't look like from his fairytale  maybe he added sth to their drinks so they vote Hersi ;D At some of the shots where jury was shown over those 3 nights Bojken looked stoned or maybe that's just his normal face expression

On serious note, I agree he shouldn't be on the jury or have a right to vote for Hersi - to avoid unnessesary controversy. He could be for example allowed to vote for everyone but her to make it look good. It's good his vote wasn't decisive on victory.

Nepotism and corruption is obviously nothing good, but considering the public applauded and were excited whenever Hersi got the highest points and when she won... I think it's fair to say that it still was a legitimate win (unless the public weren't all bribed aswell )... but then again alot of ESC fans seem to agree that she was the best (or one of the best atleast) aswell... so nah, I think this was a fair win.

It's still early but I did take a look at the average points given by our members for the past 5 years.

2014 - 6.94
2010 - 6.65
2012 - 5.38
2011 - 5.12
2013 - 4.08

So as of today, 2014 is the most popular entry in a while. Of course that number will change but that's a pretty good start. Interesting observation: The Bottom 2 songs did not qualify from the Semis so it seems that you guys are a good source for predictions :D

I'm a little confused. Was Hersiana's brother a jury member or was it someone else who was connected to her or the song in some way?

I agree that this isn't fair at all and no one should be allowed to be on a jury if any favouritism will arise from their role.. but on the other hand, the majority of us thought Herciana had the best song and as others have pointed out, she'd already won anyway before this particular vote so no difference would have been made.

Broken Lako is the brother of Genti Lako. The writer and composer of the song.
He was a member of the jury.

Albania is quite a small country. I don't believe its music scene to be particularly mundane. The eight jurors were all in some way connected to it. What are the odds of one or more of them being connected with someone involved with any of the sixteen songs? Pretty high, I would think, as music tends to run in families or close circle of friends. The real wonder would be if it turned out they were all strangers to one another!
I wouldn't give it another thought.
The audience applauded enthusiastically anyway, whenever any sort of votes were given to "One Night's Anger" xshrug

I don't like this version of song. I really hope they'll change it (a lot, please). I give 2 points for this one.
