Wait, so FiK uses no televote system at all? Only juries?

Yup... all the time. :D

Sometimes I laugh on some of their points, but on a day like this or when Rona won I thank God for this system! They don't calculate or think what's trendy just vote for what they think is best in their opinion and we can enjoy some original or non-contemporary songs.

Well, I still believe people should have some say atleast...

Albania is a bit hit-or-miss though, sometimes they have been really good, but they also sucked BADLY 2011 and 2013 for instance.

Contemporary is not bad though, it's important for ESC to both showcase originality, traditional AND modern stuff... the issue though is that the juries' "concept" of what's "contemporary" is often way behind the times and trends... (and with "juries" I refer to the ESC juries, but I see the issue in local selections aswell though).

I'd love these people to be jurors on eurovision itself. They'd give emmelie the sack. I'm just wondering how much they hated it.

1 point, wasn't it? It must have come from some strange Albanian televoters

Pretty much anyone could be better juries in ESC than the current ones

ESC is almost hijacked by Simon Cowell or something xpuke

The only thing which makes the song very special to me is the language, if they would change it into english it would be just another boring ballad :S

Ballads are not automatically boring, you know. And this can't be "just another..." because, good or bad, it's quite unlike most of them. It's not even very ballady, its pace is too fast for that :|

Very flat and for a moment extremely boring song. I don't like it. But we will see what they can do for final version. For now 1 point

This is very interesting, it's one of those songs that doesn't know if it wants to be a ballad or an uptempo so it ends up a confusing mix of both :). The beginning strangely reminds me of "Fame" by Irene Cara and she looks a little like Selena Gomez . It also sounds like they were inspired by the Trans Siberian Orchestra or something similar ;).

Albania is one of those countries that likes to do multiple revamps so I doubt this is what we will hear in Copenhagen. They should beef up the instrumentals to make it sound more bombastic. It feels like their holding back and its too light, especially in the beginning xshrug. Also try and make the climax stand out more cause right now it blends in with the rest of the song too much.

Maybe a few other things but other then that there is a lot of potential here. She sure has a great voice though so that's a start. It will be interesting to see how this progresses xclap.

Great choice. It is an interesting song, at first it might not catch very much you attention but its a potential grower with the right arrangements and of course staying in albanian. They will totally screw it up if they decide to go for an english version instead. So far for me this is much better than the ukrainian entry.

I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which this song doesn't' flop and I don't see it. It has no melody, no hook, a language that nobody will understand and an artist who's not really charismatic. Maybe they'll fix it up like they did their song in 2012, because otherwise it'll have an uphill battle.

One doesn't have to understand a language to get a feeling from a song, good music speaks for itself and the different languages add dimensions and "personalities" to music with the help of their certain melodics and characteristics. Having a language that is different from many and that aren't understood and spoken by many imo can be used as an advantage because it's different and exotic! In ESC we should emphasize and promote what makes our nations diverse and rich, not homogenize everything and make it fit some sort of forced "norm". Europe is a rich continent and this should be celebrated!

This is sorta 2012 all over again, and that turned out to be Albania's most successful entry to date! I'm not saying this has the same potential, but it's an interesting comparison.

It's refreshing when countries dare something for a change! The language has to stay! Sure a revamp is needed, but there will be one because they have to cut it anyways...

Musical and linguistic diversity ftw! That is what ESC should be all about!

I don't know if my judgment is fair, based on the fact that I wasn't able to watch more than five songs, but I got so relieved and happy to see this won, because I was hooked right away. I think it's incredibly beautiful, and honestly it's better than any song from 2013. I see it bodes well for 2014...
Another thing is I never realized how awesome albanian sounds. It's like a mix of Turkish, Italian and English to me.

I love the epicness and fairytale atmosphere. It's like a song that could've been from a fantasy movie  It sorta reminds me of Ukraine 2013 in that sense, but this one seems to have more genuine magic to it, and "Gravity" was more of an americanized and fake Disney ballad. If that makes any sense :?
10 points for now.
