Not the worst but not the best. Better than last year though. Now it needs serious reworking, and translated into English (on first listening at least, I may change my mind later), because damn this song needs it.

NO freaking English !!!!! xgaah xgaah xgaah

Why? Some songs suit it more than others, and I feel this is quite a western ballad that begs to be understood.

Congrats to Hersi!. I still think the song would improve with a better vocalist. But let's see how she will sound in Copenhagen.

It's like you want English by default

Why? I think I explained the power and awesomeness of linguistic diversity in music and ESC in particular enough already

And there will be plenty of non-English songs in the contest anyway. I'm just curious why you think this song in particular suits Albanian rather than English.

And no, I don't default to English at all, but if I believe a song suits English best, then I will argue for that point.

Interesting song, I like it xup
I only watched the results (wtf was that?), so I didn't hear the other entries, but I think it's a good choice :)

Though Poland picked their starting position themselves that year...

Yes, because she won PdE from number 1, so she thought it will be lucky again. Hope DR won't pick it for Hersi.

I'm so happy she won. After Rona my another fave won. I love this song, even though last year's song still sticks in my head.

Re: ALBANIA 2014

Not too excited about the winner, but if it's kept in albanian I'm alright with it. The song is rather odd so at least the language part should stay as it is.

Honestly I have no idea how to rank Ukraine and Albania...they're both equally meh'ish, so I'm hopeful we'll see improvement in quality as we progress through the ESC-season.

I will not vote in the poll yet, it is too early beside the real reason is that Albania will be upgrading the song to make it much better / either the decision of sining Albanian or convert it to English or mixed.

Plenty? I guess we haven't watched the same ESC lately, 2013 had like the least number of non-English entries ever if I recall it correctly.

And if it sounded more "westernized" (which I don't know if I could agree on), then it's even more crucial for it to stay in native language not to lose itself totally to that "norm" and the little character it got.

I know we don't see this the same way though, and each to their own. I just hope that more people will appreciate what linguistic diversity does to music and especially in a concept like ESC which atleast on paper should be about European countries sending entries representing their countries, not representing USA or UK or Sweden...

I know why they picked it, but it was still stupid... they made the wrong decision to think that ESC would be the same as a local selection where she was the obvious best choice... plus the technical sound problems at all :( Poor Magda indeed...

Well back on topic
