It has been precisely one year (to the day) that
Our Sound: Yaponasia was first launched, way back in
NSC 44 (and the birth of this thread).
Since then,
Yaponesia has chosen
nine songs to represent one or more of the
fourteen Asian nations set to participate next month.
Also since then, the real
Our Sound/Asiavision has chosen
zero songs to represent the
fourteen Asian nations set to participate, ahem, "next month".
So Our Sound is facing yet another postponing, and probable cancellation.
As
Google Images rightly indicates, our extensive Yaponesian promotion has been a bit of a fail. xD Buuut it was fun! And if we can't promote Our Sound, at least we promoted Asian music in general
So, here's the final entry to complete our
"Yaponasia" set, and to end our year-long era

And what better to way to finish off than to return to our own Yaponesian NSC roots.
Taiwanese music first graced the contest at our debut in NSC 6, and it now returns to
NSC 59 in the form of
Puyuma aboriginal singer,
Samingad (紀曉君).
Wild Fire (Ye Huo), despite its English and Mandarin title, features lyrics entirely in Puyuma, or at least a sort of Puyuma chant, and the music evokes emotions of pure joy and celebration
So, hopefully, a good note to end on! ^^
