Netherlands: countryballad who stand out. very simple, but could be a little bit boring?
Hungary: televoting will probably like it. Jury could go both way

Azerbaijan: vocally bad, but will qualifly if she manage to sing better in the semifinal

I can't really predict 's chances. If it wasn't , I seriously think it would be a last place contender. They still have tim€, I suppose.

55 % - With the vocals from today, she will fail, because then she has nothing to appeal.

She's ill. But yeah, if she doesn't recover until the jury rehearsal, the things aren't looking bright. 1 Even though, she was much better in the last run.

I think Finland are very much being underrated. Remember last year what happened with Moldova? Opening the show with THAT song and almost making it. Here's a song that kicked Mikael Saari's butt with the Jury vote in Finland. Can see them making it. I think it will do alright with juries and there are countries here that will enjoy it.

Greece is Greece. The rehearsals are going well. Despite what the odds are saying, I don't believe this will be the first ESC final without Greece.


The two to make room for Finland and Greece I think are Azerbaijan (for obvious reasons) and Hungary who have a limp song and performance in comparison to the other entries they will be fighting against here. Essentially they will be relying on the "It's a doe eyed pretty boy, oh isn't he just gorgeous *picks up the phone*" votes, and well... Sergey is there. So is Douwe as well actually, and he has a half decent song. Plus those that like that godawful commercial indie pop/rock style with whooah ooh ooooh's and whatnot will favour Iceland, who have a "cooler" song and an impressive performance visually.


I wanna be that guy that says San Marino will make the final, but I can't quite say it yet. Went with my heart on "Maybe" and against all odds Valentina made it. At this time I think it's going to be a very close call with Serhat. He'll do much better than people think.

Croatia I think is safe enough. It's a bold performance. The crazy outfit enhances the song and makes it memorable.

Czech Republic are super safe. I refuse to think otherwise. The only proper ballad in this first semi, gorgeous staging and sensational vocals. An utter jury magnet and will pick up more than enough public support as well. I still think this is the dark horse for the win actually. This not making the final would be robbery.


Who will come last place in the final? I think probably Montenegro or Austria.......... or maybe even Azerbaijan? I mean, they were THAT much of a train wreck live today. I actually couldn't believe what I was hearing. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't fascinated by it I love a good wreck I do I've got them down as borderline but it could very well crash even harder.

Definite qualifier

Hungary was always a qualifier from the beginning.
Armenia doesn't have a fantastic rehearsal IMO, but most people seem to like it.
Russia is Russia.

Likely qualifier

Croatia will probably qualify despite the Barbara Dex award x2. The backing vocals really bring the song to life.
Iceland never really had any doubts about qualification, the performance will be memorable enough
Malta has a good song.

Borderline +

Czechia really deserves to qualify, but they don't have a good history.
Cyprus might turn a few viewers off with the aggressiveness of the song.
Estonia will most likely qualify IMO, but some people seem to think it will get lost.
Azerbaijan has an amazing qualification history, but Samra might not deliver vocally on the night. Juries might discredit her for this.

Borderline -

Greece is a dark horse! They've made a bad song ok with their staging.
Netherlands this year don't live up to what CATS did. Slow Down is more boring, and I think it might get left behind in 11th or 12th.
Austria has an 'Il Pleut De L'or' v2, and the whole ditzy, childish act won't help.
Bosnia don't deserve to qualify, but they might anyway. The song will get points from Balkan buddies.

Unlikely qualifier

Finland is a great way to open the show, but will get lost after all of the other, better performances.
Moldova, are you trying to get more points from France/Austria by adding a French verse? Sorry, but you still won't qualify.

Impossible qualifier

San Marino bringing back the good ol' days with a terrible song.
Montenegro is like the cheap $3 Chinese rip-off of Cyprus.
