In which universe has Italy since 2012 ever flopped in the televote (apart from 2014)?Yet it’s mentioned here so often that it could do well with the juries but flop with the televote…
Unless you consider everything worse than #8 a flop Italy will definitely not flop. Televote top 8 for sure. It’s not enough to win but it’ll end up 5-9 in the GF.

is a safe bet for top 12, probably also top 10. But no contender. They are not as strong as in the past years, it's the weakest effort since 2014. They went back to classic cliché Italo ballad, but hey, thats the game of Sanremo. You never know what to get. I would have appreciated it if the kept their recent track of sending more current music like they did in 2019 and 2021. My choice this year would have been LAZZA.Ezio

Italy is unique this year. Could be the only ballad in the final or at least the only male ballad. Doing already well with OGAE.

Yeah it was no degree of separation I think the winner of Sanremo didn’t want to do Eurovision that year if I remember correctly

Oh i love a good pre prediction thread. Ive read most of the comments. I will throw in my opinion for ya now.
Sweden for me is the winner. I think the likes of austria and norway will defo give it a good run in the public votes. I agree with the opening post that Spain will finish towards the bottom. I say that as it is my least liked song this year and really i switch it off if i hear it.. its awful. I have the uk to finish top 5 with australia. Serbia i just love, its so different and really hope it goes down well. jumping up my rankings is slovenia and the more i hear it the more it rises for me. Switzerland, cyprus and poland all round out my top 10 however i wont lie i see cyprus getting higher than i currently think.
I do think France should finish fairly mid table, i see some think it will be bottom of the table. Ukraine i am hoping wont win the poor me poor me vote. Im sorry but they just won it and the world knows the west stands with them. The song really isnt that standout in my opinion and is also a mid table song for me.
The good thing about the contest this year is theres only a couple of songs i don't like.. namely spain and romania. Alot of what i call bog standard entries that won't trouble the table. I tell you what tho.. im interested to see how croatia perform on stage. I saw the music video and i was mind blown as to how thats gonna all piece together live. Sadly tho thats trailing at the bottom end of my faves list.

But you can't vote against an entry in Eurovision. If there are enough of us who love the entry we should be able to bring it high in scoreboard even if a fair number of people hate it.
Who said that? What i said is that the fact that some people doesn't like an entry doesn't mean that it won't do well.Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but people who don't like Eaea are incorrect
